Nah, owt for an easy life. Still, with Alan gone, at least we'll have an excuse when we don't get promoted, well we did lose our highly thought of assistant manager half way through the season.

Good luck Alan, there will be a few unhappy faces at Saltergate today.

 When Mac was sacked I thought it was a bit misguided for us to appoint the No.2 of a failed partnership. Likewise Knill has to take some of the flak for our current form as Rico's No.2. Dont think we will miss him. Just because we had 3 wins during Rico's paternity leave dont make him a superstar.
Many a good tune

The club needs clearing out from board down to the management team. A new broom sweeps clean and all that. We need fresh impetus so we can finally put the ghost of Darren Brown to rest. You get the feeling whilever at board level there is no change there will always be that excuse. Running the club on loans is never going to see us amount to anything.

Compared to Rico's results when RM had mumps, and the run of form we witnessed when he was handed the caretaker role full time, I think Alan Knill could justifiably claim to be a superstar. That said, whoever comes in I fear it'll only be a case of re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic..

In any line of work, there is simply no excuse for failing to conduct a proper interview process. I'm afraid cutting corners invariably comes back to haunt you..

Bit early to write off your chances just yet - abandon the laptop for the time being - you might go straight into the No 1 role if you can demonstrate some sort of track record of sustained failure whilst talking a good game..

In reply to the thread header, this should have been done 12months ago. Quite a few 'fans' (not the 'proper' fans of course) were unhappy that it wasn't done citing that without real change, there would be no change in our fortunes either.

Now 12 months have gone by and really, we are in a weaker position now than we were then, and optimism is sadly being replaced by apathy.
I'm embarrassed by the actions of those who run my club.

Rats leaving a sinking ship!!!

Nobody appears to want to come on board, and the rusty bucket appears to be springing leaks just about everywhere.

Richardson kept coming on last year and stated more than once that we lost too many games 1-0. This year the only difference appears to be the form of Jack Lester.

Our inconsistent performances, the lack of any real competition for places and what appears to be a failure to recruit reasonable loan deals equates to another disappointing season.

Usually the Captain goes down with the ship and I suspect that he will still be on board come the end of the season.

Don't talk silly!
Playoffs still on, and with a couple of nice additions the automatics are still a possibility!

Yes, I accept we need to drastically improve, but we have the players to do that, with the help of a couple more!

I find that in all matters CFC the glass half empty approach serves me rather well. It prevents the destructive cycle of 'boom and bust.' Why lurch from optimism to apathy when there's a far straighter route -and one that's been tried and tested for approaching 36 long years..?

Can we please point the musket at the proper target..?

Nothing will change until Hubbard goes. If you fail to adequately equip your manager, then you're prepring to fail. He couldn't even be bothered to hold interviews..

So how much will you be buying it for? According to your posts Darren Brown was ancient history and no excuse three seasons ago. Interesting that you now think he's been costing us all this time. Just shows that you sometimes have a re-think and get it right.
