Possibly. Can?t remember him beating the full back once. That said we see what we want to see (myself included).
The man has talent but maybe it?s only me?I want more from him over 90mins.

What measure is beating a full back ?

Trip to Wembley and a top 10 finish? Why not,

I'd prefer no Wembley and top 7.

Thought we played alright there. Quite enjoyed a no pressure watch.

Yeah, me too.

But let's be honest - fist grips rather than air punching when we scored, and the pulse did raise a beat or two over the last ninety seconds...

He planted the ball in the Wigan net in truly lethargic fashion to put us 2-1 up! Why he was allowed to take the penalty just because it his birthday is beyond me. Oh wait a minute!

He scored the penalty on 78 mins. The pass he made for Colclough to earn the penalty was fantastic. But I stand by my comment that at the time I posted it, he was hardly involved in the game.

He finished well and got more involved after he scored.

Jamie Hewitt gave James Berry man of the match on 1866 Sport.

I think I would have given it to Grimes. I thought he had a solid game

Of the remaining sides, only Rotherham stand a out as any kinda attractive draw...

Plus drawing them would be as good as a bye into the next round for us Chris lol. ;)

Plus his wages for another three years - anything upward of ?450k over three years. No chance he will come here permanently.

Seems to me Blackburn are backed into a corner.

DM is out of contract in the summer, nowhere near their first team squad and with a huge price tag still attached. So they either give him game time to earn a new deal or cut their losses.

On the other hand we might make a cheeky bid but then there's his second tier salary. I'm sure he's enjoying his time here - but enough to take a huge pay cut to come permanently?

Could be Johnson all over again...

Entertaining game plenty of positives and a good team fielded by cook, it?s always good to win and this comp keeps players playing

Regarding Hobson I see a player in him , just needs a few layers adding to his game, come a long way in short space of time, I think there?s more to come

Speculate to accumulate though

Get promoted and he shines in L1 and there?s a pretty profit even at ?300k

Enjoyable game to watch that was

Jessop very green in the Right Back role but these are the games to learn in

Hobson showed his strength numerous times and some lovely touches, could turn into a great asset for us in the future but still a lot to learn.

Berry again shows why he plays for us, some fantastic moments, great pass, composed penalty but unable to shine for a full 90 minutes and I'd expect anyone watching him will see this and it's quite the risk to take.

Gordon, despite only a cameo appearance is absolutely class, always looks composed on the ball, even playing over the other side.

Boot got away with one first half, then a great stop and then didn't get away with one. As said previous there's always gonna be a slip up in him.

Araujo (their 2nd apart which was unfortunate) had a decent game in his unoreferred side, Grimes too

Oldaker seemed a little more forward thinking, maybe due to Mandeville putting in another class performance, but Dobra was again impressive in the new 4-1-4-1 formation, coming deep to track and attacking from deep, deserved his goal.

Good performance from Drummond aswell, more than capable 3rd choice forrad, in the hopes the first 2 aren't both out at the same time again while he continues to learn from them.

Look forward to the draw, a nice home tie with some players returning next month and we might all be searching hotels down London
