approval rating in the gutter & getting heat from the jewish block & zealot Christians who backed him is his presidential campaign probably explain this ill thought out move.
only two countries apart from Israel have come out in support the isle of vanuata (sp?) & Taiwan who Israel don't recognise. hardly a ringing endorsement.

You’re doing yourself a disservice in this argument - I think you’re wiser than what you’re making out here. All people are created equal. I genuinely believe that. However, not all people are given the access to free information and freedom of thought. Muslim nations, generally speaking, control that far more, though that does not account for all Muslim thought, and “to annoy Muslims” serves no real purpose. It is a crazy move, correctly stated. God help us all for the endless, continuous litany of Trump policies here on in - self-centred, ill-conceived, destructive (add negative adjective of own choice). This man almost gets me to believe in the book of revelations.

The real problem here is that he has merely responded to a unanimous 90 nil Senate vote. Senators are elected. This is the will of the American people. They presumably think that the current peace processes are gridlocked and that this initiative is a risk worth taking. It's a big gamble that will result in a worse situation before it gets better. I agree with the American woman on Question Time last night. Trump is a useless broken clock but he is right twice a day.

and now we move on to a penalty shoot out with Iran. Despite all predictions Trump is two nil up at the moment, the Embassy and North Korea, and bookies favourite for the Nobel Peace Prize.

It, alongside pressure from the region's real power broker China, forced Kim Jong il towards reconciliation with his southern neighbours. Problem is that's got Trump's supporters claiming it's all down to his hard-line stance (or as some might say a few juvenile texts) and him masturbating his ego all over again.
But Iran is a far more dangerous adversary than N. Korea. And at the centre of a power powderkeg.
Meanwhile more Palestinian protestors die at the hands of Isreali troops yet there's far less attention paid than if it'd been in, say, Russia, perhaps...
