I once was making love with a young lass who lived on Foljambe Rd at the same time as The Spires were playing some meaningless fixture at Saltergate

I remember looking out the bedroom window and thinking to myself how much more fun I was having than the hardy souls stood there.

ps. calm down, she supported Sheff Wednesday

and at the time MTFC hardy souls were watching?

Your such a massive fan of your club, I`m green with envy

A new hope.

It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.

He even thinks about us whilst he's porking lasses. So, so obsessed :D

Can't say I've ever thought about Mansfield when I'm ploughing away.

Whatever floats your boat Josh, as they say.

I do agree however, the thought of 22 years of misery whilst engaging activities surely can't be that pleasant.

I'm sure Wooly has his reasons however. Each to their own.

"Paul, have you ever supported Mansfield Town?"

"What do you mean, Swiss Toni?"

"Supporting Mansfield Town is like making love to a beautiful woman. First you have the promise, the excitement. Then comes the danger, the flirtation with disappointment, even perhaps tinging on disaster. Eventually you realise she's a dirty tart and you're left with no money and an unshakeable feeling of disappointment and no climax"

Yes it is such a shame. But have a closer look, we are 3rd, 5 points in front of play offs with superior goal difference effectively making it 6 points and with 6 games to play. 2 of which are aginst the contenders, even two draws would be good enough. Plus they have to win 2 more games than us just to stay level. The bookies (1-10) and myself think Dave has no need to panic as Captain Mainwaring once said.

are you sure about that

We're only 7 points off the play offs now by the way

Why???
You are really a wind up merchant!

Do you really want to face a team in the play offs with the season you have had, whom you have failed to score against in 2 league games and won a cup match thanks to a defensive balls up?

That's why, and I'm not a wind up merchant...

with 15 to play for. Which means all of those sides above you have to get no more than 7 points themselves and you winn the last 5. More chance of man utd winning the title
A new hope.

I don't think either of us TBF Death have said we will get in them. However we must win all five games for me, and while I think that is asking an awful lot we're not exactly unknown for good run ins are we?

We may well do you a favour next Saturday, but we're also in it for ourselves. Should a remarkable series of events happen and you finish 4th and we finish 7th, I don't think many on this board will be relishing facing us over two legs. We have a score to settle for starters where the play-offs are concerned.

If I were a betting man, I still think you'll get over the line and we'll finish about 10th. That's my head, my heart says 7th and promotion.

Wooly is a liar...plain and simply tells lies to wind folk up or get a reaction...troll who needs banning.
Luke is more complicated..he is a "Walter Mitty" type character, someone who, in his own mind actually creates stories and tales that even have a back story to go with them..he tells them that often and that well that in his own mind he actually begins to fade the line between what's real and what is actually made up. He has a problem..were as Wooly is a t4at.

That's harsh on Wooly. I don't know the guy personally, but I haven't read anything to suggest he's deliberately trolling. I seem to remember I may have met him once, and if it's the same bloke I think it is, he's sound.

As for myself, what stories have I ever created? If we're dreaming of nicking that final play off spot, that's an opinion, it's not a story is it?

I'll say it again chaps. I have never been diagnosed as having a psychiatric issue. So maybe it's not just me who needs to visit the local GP?

Two of your own female supporters have said on this board you're all "mean to me".

That is part of the course. Personal abuse goes a step beyond that, but have you seen the size of my skin, it's quite thick.

Chuck 'attention seeking misfit divorced from reality' somewhere into that assessment and you're spot on, 'M'.

And still the clock ticks on 'Moondog's' evidence.....

Oh I do, at least for a few more days anyway.

I don't expect you to believe it personally, the word "nightmare" springs to mind.

Except Death this is just a hunch, not a fact, nor one suggested to be so.

Fail to win Saturday and it's all over, but I have a feeling we'll turn Rochdale over, the place is buzzing.
