As soon as bookies started offering odds for first bookings and first throw ins etc this was always going to happen. Easy money to be made.
What annoys me will be the thousands upon thousands of pounds and police man hours that will be spent on this, when the it's the bookies who should be protecting themselves. As always the police go for the low hanging fruit.

Reports from Preston say that Ben Davies has been arrested purely on the basis that he was booked in each of his three appearances last season.

Another issue I have with all this is bookies pay people for inside info so they can set appropriate odds. How is what they are doing any different? They are in effect cheating the punter.
Bookies are the biggest thieves there are. Anyway can't stop, got to go put my National bets on.
