"Mansfield Town posted their accounts on the 29th March 2014 for the year ending 30th June 2013.

£4,678,129 in debt Posted Image

We owe £3,648,715 to One Call Insurance Services Limited

Going Concern..........

The Company has significant net liabilities and continues to trade at a loss. The ability to continue trading is totally reliant on the major shareholder and its creditors.

God only knows how much debt we have now"

Going bust lads, going bust.

Disappointed "Stag in Cuckney" hasnt started a thread on this on the football forum, the Mansfield financial meltdown thread on there 2 years ago was hilarious. Could some town fan start one please? I would but I'm simply too mean to pay the fee to register on the site.

I think you can make a donation to the running of the site but it's certainly not a requirement.

I think it's sent some of them a bit crackers. I genuinely hadn't realised but each to their own I suppose. They'll feel really empty when they see us disappearing out of this division and all they can shout is '1-0'. By then no one will be listening.

Drivel, contradiction, evasion, denial.....or just plain lies.

It's the same old story with this sad act.

I'm not sure if he's incredibly stupid or genuinely doesn't know the difference between truth and fiction.

Probably both.

But anyway, perhaps we should remember these figures are from last year, and since then our little neighbours have been losing a hundred grand per month. Subsequently it's reasonable to assume their debt is now nearer six million. And this at a club with no assets, very limited facilities and only a tiny fanbase. My guess is that the Mansfield Circus Master is keeping the club ticking along in the desperate hope he can salvage something - anything - of the millions he's loaned. However there'll come a point, perhaps if a judge finds in favour of Hymas and Saunders, when he'll have no choice but to cut his losses and file for administration.

Never mind though, the Staglets will always have that day at the Proact.....

I have no idea how much money Radford actually has, but events at failed mill cant continue as they are. Indeed, the cut in funding and the recent "share the burden" statement strongly suggest they wont continue as they are.

The ownership of the ground, and the fact Radford owns it and not the club, is another issue the scabs seem unable to fathom.

Where will this end?

Well if Radford wants his money back can he afford to sell it? If H+S bought the club for £1 my guess is they would put the club straight into administration, leaving a huge hole in Radfords bank account. So is that really an option for him?

Cut all funding and force MTFC to be self funding? I guess the result of that would be less than 2000 scabs in the groundand another relegation to the Skrill conference- so he loses his money that way.

or - he keeps the ground, lets the club fail, sells failed mill for housing and gets his cash that way.

I cant see any other way he can get his money back.

AFC MTFC ground sharing with Worksop in the beazer homes division?
A new hope.

bit difficult as Worksop are sub tenants at their own ground to Worksop Parramore (don't ask - football politics, disgruntled ex chairman, complicated lease provisions  )

Alfreton would be a possible though as it's already got the correct grading, is plenty big enough for their needs (unless they draw us in the cup) and is in God's own county :D

Hey Luke.

The 2/3 budget cut. I accept that by cutting the funding the budget for playing staff would also have to be cut - but are there other overheads that could be slashed first? are there family/friends on the payroll at MTFC that would be cut before that amount of playing staff?

Second thing - Will he sell MTFC to H+S for £1 then receive payments on his loans, and rent for the stadium?

Is his "long term" plan to secure the ground, let MTFC go under and then use the land?

You would normally expect more senior members of management to go first, but the way the club is run I cannot see that happening. Numerous players out of contract, I'm sure a lot of these won't be staying.

Secondly, Radford has agreed not to do this re the stadium for a period of 25 years. However it does not mean he won't after that.

Westbars, that FA Trophy tie was played at Ilkeston but Worksop were the home side.

Just remember that there are probably retail buisnesses that would like to build on Field of nightmares, and the footfall on a Saturday for retail would be a lot higher than they get now!!

Gotta love all these defacto statements regarding MTFC from you esteemed football pundits and financial wizards.

Just like how we were definitely going to get relegated this season and you only had to put any old team out to beat us. That we should have the temerity to even bother turning up at all, what with you being soooo much better and all that.

We saw how those predictions turned out didn't we boys?

Remember for all that money you've splurged out this year (and your own debt, hello Dave) that not being promoted would be a hammer blow. Looking at the recent away form table earlier it read that Spires were in 18th. Hardly promotion form is it..?

Things might not be so rosy for you in the near future either. Bottom six of league 1 or playing us again next year? Big Wow.

20 points difference between us shows who is the better side,
the league is not just 2 games, your tactics of hoofball showed why you are in bottom half and we have been at the top most of this season.

Yes it is such a shame. But have a closer look, we are 3rd, 5 points in front of play offs with superior goal difference effectively making it 6 points and with 6 games to play. 2 of which are aginst the contenders, even two draws would be good enough. Plus they have to win 2 more games than us just to stay level. The bookies (1-10) and myself think Dave has no need to panic as Captain Mainwaring once said.
As for our finances you do really need to get your head out of the sand. A couple of concerts, JPT, catering and banqueting, our own ground (assets) Players that have a value...compared to the Staglets who pay rent on ground, losing 60k each week, crowds much lower than breakeven, very little in player value, etc etc. Mr Wooly (oh and are you sheep in disguise?)do you see where the money is going to come from to keep funding the losses. The accounts produced are for last year, this year's have got to be even be even worse.
Wooly you keep on dreaming and I look forward to reading more of your posts.
Oh by the way did you watch us on tele on Sunday and listened to what the neutrals said about us?

Mate all he's bothered about are the two league games they played against us. That's it.

Wooly, I do take my hat off to you.

Anyone who can indulge in one sentence of debate which allows Birdie to write a proper sentence deserves a medal :-)

I don't agree with most of the Stags fans over these, but then again very few ever did under Haslam.

I was one of those who didn't, and called people fantasists and liars left right and centre.

They were all proven right.

Personally I am just massively erring on the side of caution.

Now here is today's get with it son...............

6 games left, 6 wins will get us in the play offs.

You lot balls it up, we could meet just like we did in 1994, 95 whenever it was (apologies if I cannot be bothered to check).

Watch the next few results and if the gap narrows.

Be afraid........

Very afraid.
