Appears 7 footballers with North West clubs have been arrested over spot fixing today....no names as yet however :-

Seven footballers arrested in spot-fixing investigation
Seven players from Football League clubs in north-west England have been arrested in connection with alleged spot-fixing.

What's the punishment if found guilty? It should be a lifetime ban from the game, the loss of all pension contributions & a prison sentence.

It's not like they're on the minimum wage and if things were really that tight, they could always find a second job!

I don't think you should feel sorry for the bookies (ever) they cheat with the odds they give and if they offer such silly bets about corners, throw ins etc then they encourage it to happen as it is so easy to fix
