Notice one of the most recent posts on there says he is related to the guy that briefly got the job commentating on us for Peak!

Judging by the thread on stagsnet he switches teams with alarming regularity..thank god his relation didnt get the Peak job otherwise we might have had him polling up here! :D

NO, because I don't.

Bizarrely enough in a town of that size not everyone does know each other.

I don't think I've had a kebab in Mansfield for over a decade.

We're not all the same... Let's not forget it wasn't the local constabulary who raided Mansfield for drugs a few weeks ago.

Towns of our size have good, bad and ugly.

Anyway, what did happen to this Forest fan? Did he not get his burger? Seems to walk out after 9 minutes of an argument without any food.

Don't blame you, you have to be careful what you eat in Mansfield.
I'm sure we came across this nutter on the motorway services a year or so ago. I can see where he's coming from regarding the bigger clubs attitudes towards the "lesser" clubs in the lower leagues. In my work, I've come across many big time supporters from Derby,Forest,Leeds and Sheffield clubs, not forgetting the so called Mancs and Scouse faithful.
If your lucky some of them are true fans who attend as many games as they can, rather than watching them on SKY. The Stags nutter has travelled all over the country to see his team,he deserves a medal, I wouldn't walk into our back yard if they were my local team,God forbid.

Fish and chips still pretty good on the Nottingham Road/Rutland St. junction Dave.. :-)

I'm personally embarrassed he's one of our fans. As I said earlier, I just want to know if this other chap got his food, or not.

This looks like a set up to me - a debate started from minute one which didn't have a single punch in it.

Shame the skinny guy wasn't our very own RPL as he would be bound to push it too far and not know when to stop :D

What this video demonstrates is the understandable reaction of someone who's spent his entire life being laughed at by the Forest majority in his own town.

Is it any wonder he and his ilk live in some deranged fantasy world?

Think I've managed to track him down.

If it's who I think it is, he's actually an alright chap, you'd be amazed what a few beers can do to any of us.

Perhaps not, but most of them are still related to each other. And the rat population can rest a little easier

This "inbred" tag does get my back up. It's something aimed at a town where unemployment is often high, and where people struggle for work.

I'm sure it is amusing to those from the outside looking in, but as someone who lived there for 18 years, I can assure you 100%, it is NOT the case.

OK, there may be areas of the town where family live close together, but that's the case in most towns, surely?

Really? Father from South East London, mother from Sunderland.

I rather suspect not...

Unless you were aiming that comment at the chap in the video, of course...
