Having said all this shouldn't PC have one eye on Tuesday as well?

True. It's possible to drive oneself barmy trying to juggle all the balls in the air. Trying to keep it simple, my thinking would be that if we score on Tuesday, we'll be through. I think that's a better bet than trying to keep a clean sheet as at some point, they'll have to open up. With that in mind, we have to do whatever it takes to have Humphreys and Roberts on the pitch.

One of the best playmakers in the League.

Interesting opinion. I'd say his passing is the weakest part of his game.

All that matters is Saturday, Dave.

Promotion is our number one priority and a quick look at the fixture list reveals all our rivals have winnable games. We simply cannot afford to squander any more home points against lowly opponents.

Put the right side out to beat Torquay then start thinking about Tuesday.

I reckon he' ll mull it over and over, and will have considered the good points made above... And then go with the same team.
Looking at the other fixtures, on paper it looks like all the top 7 will heavily fancy their chances, but got a feeling the cobblers might get something at Fleetwood.

Same team as Scunthorpe for me. Why does it need freshening up?

Totally agree!! no need to tinker with a winning team...plus we have had a full week off & will be refreshed.

Just a little irony based upon RPL's constant claim that we need a playmaker.

And as you should know 'h'- playmaking isnt only about passing.

Look at the advert at the top of the link for Andy Bell photography - is it just me that thinks he looks downright sinister in that photo?

Passed way over my head I'm afraid. I'm too busy posting my own opinions to bother about being ironic to RPL.
What's 'playmaking' about then?

For me I'd stick with the same side.. Not because it's being getting the results and has had a week to recover from their last exertions, but because they are all players that are comfortable in possession and can unlock a stubborn defence. Players with pace aren't really going to make much difference in this game so it'll be down to clever passing and movement. This will save the players who rely more on pace for the Fleetwood game (Tendayi) when we can hopefully exploit them with it as they try and get back into the tie.

If I was a gambling man I’d play O’Shea for either Roberts or Banks, as both could do without playing two more games in the space of a few days; especially Banks who seems to be running out of steam in the second half of games of late. He's some player though and we need to be looking after him and Gardner where we can - When we play too many games close together like we have been doing, maybe times approaching to use the squad a little more.

So you want to keep he same team, but save tendayi for fleetwood? Have I read that right?

Well of course it is about passing, but also scoring goals, crossing and dribbling ability and initiating attacking plays.

JOS actually described himself as a playmaker when CFC did the Paint Pot Challenge - Im assuming this wasnt an ironic retort to RPL!

We don't need to change a thing. League two is our main priority and the players/management will only be concentrating on tomorrow's match.
So should we.

I would play Drew v Fleetwood....Their left winger was killing us down the right at Fleetwood...when Talbot came on, it stopped!!

Sorry I meant Tendayi as an attacking wide midfielder and Drew at wing back (for Fleetwood) and Drew and Gardner for Torquay. I didn't do very well at putting my point across

The league is our priority, the JPT Wembley trip will be an extra special treat. It'll be great if we can win tomorrow and by the end of next week we could be over the 60pt mark which would be awesome.

I'm flying out tomorra, weather permitting, so I miss both matches. I hope Player works in Playa. My priority is slightly different. We MUST get through on Tuesday, and worst case scenario, I'd accept a draw tomorra on the grounds that we are going to get promotion anyway. I just think getting through will mean so much to PC - his first success in England, whereas failure will knock him sideways. So, fingers crossed tomorra that Tommy, Evatt, and Roberts all survive unscathed.
