Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Thomas Hitzlsperger retired from football last month, aged 31 due to injury.

Matlock should easily get 3 points tomorrow, they travel to Droylsden, who have now lost 9 out of 11 games, their latest being a 5-1 away defeat at Marine. 21 goals against in their last 4 games.

Weir has been to visit Ched twice since he got the United job so he could well be back there when he gets out (providing Weir keeps his job, of course!). What a strike force him and King would make!!
Also, I see Madine has got himself a job as fitness instructor in jail.

Saw him and Jamie Jackson come on for them this evening v Scarborough Athletic, with Steve Warne captaining as usual. The Scarborough right winger looked very familiar- short with broad shoulders and no neck- and sure enough, it was Ryan Williams, though without any of his old skill. Aaron Chapman apparently in attendance too- good on him for keeping up with his old club.
