What a legend drew talbot is,his fitness levels are outstanding, his ability to get up to and beyond midfield a rareity at this level and when he isnt in the side we miss him more than any other player imo
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I agree Drew is a legend, but yesterday the problem wasn't in the right back position, It was a total no show with all eleven in the second half

Im not saying it was a problem at right back but drew sets a tempo to games and manages to get us high up the pitch

Yeah he's such a vital cog in our push for promotion, Mr consistent who rarely puts a foot wrong, we do miss him when he doesn't play.

Yes, Drew Talbot is a vital piece of what we are trying to achieve at this level and his work rate is phenomenal; but it shouldn't have made that much difference if we'd have got our game plan right, and in trying to correct this we made it a whole lot worse by the sounds of things. Cook got it badly wrong for me with trying to accommodate Evatt, even though I can see his reasoning for this, it was still wrong in my view.

Agree completely, it is easy after the event but the back four just needed Dave to replace Drew, the rest didn't need changing. Evatt should have made his first appearance on Tuesday, Cooky has made very poor decisions the last two matches. O'Shea has been withdrawn twice when doing well, then our creativity suffers he seems to be the mandatory substitution. Cooky has a lot to prove to me in the next two matches as do the players, I cannot go Tuesday due to work but will be making the trip to Fleetwood.

Over to you Cooky !!

Edit - regarding Drew he is vital to us, he is ace !!

I'm with you on this one, TD at right back and Devitt on from the start.
I think Hird and Cooper have been consistent and very solid, bringing Evatt in unfit or not was now the wrong dicision, but TBF to Cook you see a quality CB all week in training in Evatt who's telling you he's ready to go, and a good footballer in Hird who can on paper slot into that right back position, so what do you do?....it just shows now partnerships are forged throughout the team and in my book none more important than your CB's.

Agree with you about Cook, but just to readdress the balance, he's made some very good calls this season and the last two games are out of the norm; though I agree with you, he needs to get the belief of the players back asap. I'm very much looking forwards to Mansfield and the character and the way we set up and play will be more important to me than the result (that's not a cop out, I want to have hope and confidence that things are going to be okay, especially when we get a couple of our bigger losses player wise back.
