Fair do's, M.

Ultimately mate its a view , it's my opinion, therefore I've no idea whether they want us to lose or not..they probably don't in all honesty..BUT they appear out of the woodwork all too quickly on days like this.

Sometimes, though, M, most of the posts during the week are either drivel or non-Town, non-football related; therefore, i'd argue, that after a match is when some folk prefer to pass comment; just an observation, like.

And maybe right after the match is not the best time to post comments? Particularly today

I've not been today, but the facts speak for themselves.

Three nil up, everything we could've hoped for after last week, yet the most devastating forty five minutes witnessed in many years.

I can take losing to a side who've nothing to offer but ultra-negative, cynical tactics after totally dominating a game...but this? I'll not lie; the legs have been kicked from under me.

However let's not press any panic buttons.

If Cook got it wrong changing formation then admit it and don't do it again. If players became complacent then admit and don't do it again. If mistakes were made admit them and don't do them again.

At which point we realise we're still top of the league and get back to what's served us so well 'til this point.

In a perverse sense facing fellow promotion favourites Fleetwood could be the best antidote to today's debacle.

Let's win it and move on from there.

Being top of the league is fine. Trouble is, it's trotted out to stifle any criticism.
Is the defence a bit shaky - can't be, we're top of the league. Is Richards scoring enough - must be, we're top of the league. Are we being over-elaborate when in sight of goal - can't be, we're top of the league. Is the bl**dy coffee overpriced - can't be, we're top of the league.
The same mind-set seems to have got to the players now - we must be good, we're top of the league. Well, it doesn't impress the opposition, it just makes them fight harder.
But after all that we always play c**p at Morecambe, so what's new? Should have got Togwell on to win the midfield back.

Hold on, you're better than that.

To suggest H doesn't want us to succeed is crackers.

split up a CB pairing that has let in 4 in 9 games, then we concede 4 in one. What does that tell you?
A new hope.

It tells you it wasn't the CB's decision....

It'll sting when we aren't - which will happen pretty soon if everybody adopts your attitude.
Find somebody else to work your bad mood off on. I want to win every game, which is why I actually look at players performances instead of going over the top and claiming a totally average performance is a world-beater just because we've won.

It tells me we lost the midfield. I'm just amazed it tells anybody any different.

Chris this was a game we had won after about 30 minutes we were saying we could get 6,then we started the second half and within seconds we gave a goal away, you could see if we didn't tighten up at the back we were in for a shock,i think we kept going forward trying to get another goal, kept giving the ball away and they kept coming at us,they got another goal from this and then we were worried here is our bogey side and we sensed they were going to win from then on,which they did,we should have shut up shop played it ugly and kept our lead,Paul Cook needs to learn from this, play the Mansfield way we had this game won then threw it away,we left that ground so frustrated more than last time when they beat us 2 - 0 and deservedly so...gobsmacked is all any of us can say tonight after that game....

Conceding 4 goals in 45 minutes is gobsmacking!

First goal mis-judged by Evo.

Second missed by Cooper.

Third missed by Hird at the back post.

Fourth no CB in sight.

2 of the goals from set pieces, all from high balls into the box.

If the CB had been on their game, these balls into the box would have been cleared. Bread and butter stuff.

Although we do allow crosses to come into the box far too easily.
A new hope.

I think one crumb of comfort is that the lessons will be learned.

I'm putting it down to the price we have to pay to get Evatt back to full fitness - there's a definite link between his lack of match fitness and how fatally deep we dropped in the second half. Cook must have had this in the back of his mind, but thought that our cushion was so big that he could allow him the full 90 minutes.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Just watched the FLS. No wonder they're in for training today - the defending for at least three of the goals was appalling.

Last week was one thing, yesterday another altogether. I think we'll learn from it & kick on to win the league.

You're not the only one. Feel as bad as I did last week losing to the scabs. I was laughing walking out of the ground just wondering how on earth we're top of the league. Regardless of who you are, champions to go 3-0 up and lose 4-3.

We'll not be top for long. I am afraid we are on the slide a bit like the England Middle order in the eighties get one and they collapse like a pack of cards. Mentally and physically not strong enough. I would love a Kevin Ellison in our side a right nasty barstool who know where the net is.
