They were crap and how they scored 4 past us is beyond me. Can't single Evo out but he disappointed me today. From my view was at fault for the first but I may be wrong. After that you could blame anyone on the pitch for the goals. It was just shambles. Every time they had a set piece I thought they would score. Back to Cooper and Hird for me (for now) but I would play Evo at the stags for first team match fitness

Definetely for the 1st..why he didnt just get rid of it I don't know. As for the rest I've no idea but it was a complete shambles.

Went with the back 4 i'd have picked at 3pm. worked fine until half time. It sounded like the whole team collapsed. It will be interesting to see what those who went made of things.

We completly folded under pressure.

I have been very rational with post on todays game but I have to say that Hird had a dredful game, truly dreadful.

However it is ONE GAME so we move on to tuesday

well, I've only just got in and read the details but without seeing any of the goals, I'll bet that it's the change in the relationship between the goalie and the back 4 that has been disturbed.

Tommy's handed the organisation to Evatt. The back 4 is expecting more direction from the goalie, and the result is chaos. The extended highlights should be riveting. I can't find a single post laying the blame on Tommy. Let's see.

I think everyone is looking to Evatt for the "lead" including the keeper. Evatt isn't up to speed and expecting the back 4 and keeper to do the job as before.

No one takes control - and suddenly wallop.

You know the old saying.

Everyone thought that someone would take the lead and no-one did

I`m willing to bet this does not happen again though.
A new hope.

This is wor I think.
Our inexperienced manager will reflect very closely on what he said at half time. He MUST have failed in some aspect, and he won't make the same mistake again. If I were him, I'd phone my closest mentor (Warnock?, Souness?, Turner?, whoever?), get some strong advice, and remember it. It's his fault.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Hasn't Paul Cook had 7 years as a manager somewhere or other....that doesn't make him inexperienced in my book!

No one can say what would have happened if the CB pairing had been the same as last week but it's hard to imagine the usual pairing would have been so poor. But the game wasnt lost just on the CB factor, the midfield failed to function properly after we conceded ( Morsy was awful) and inevitably the ball kept coming back at us. It was a spectacular collapse. Credit to Morecambe yes, but they should have faced some much stiffer resolve

Should PC have changed our CH pairing? Personally I'd have tried Darikwa at right back and Devitt on the Right wing.

We miissed Drew today,Darwikwa should have played there from the start. Poor old Hird was pushed wider and for the life of me I don't understand why he brought in Evo.He did fine in the first half when Morcambe were outplayed.Tommy made a fabulous save before the break, but for me today he had an off day.He seemed rooted to his goal line for at least 2 oals, whilst Evo had a shocking 2nd half along with most of his team mates. Why did Jo go off what a negative sub that was PC bringing Edwards on,I would have brought the tough tackling Toggy on.Devitt didn't improve things,I would have liked to have seen Banks on.Doyle was awesome in the first half and just about got my motm.McSheff.took his goal well and I would like to see him just behind Doyle in the middle with JO wide. I know this was Evo's first game but I wasn't impressed with him today especially is so called leadership. Ryan had a very poor game for once but Morsey worked hard all day.I'm not panicking because we've lost 2 on the trot, but I am sickened by our lack of bottle when the chips were down after they scored there 2nd,there was only going to be one winner from that point.(they didn't score a decent goal). Never mind time to go 4pts clear at Fleetwwod, but lets hope for better news on the injury front.

the defence is far too deep, right on top of Tommy.

Agree about the substitutions, we needed to shore up the midfield, Togwell must be very peed off

Interesting comment about Tommy being rooted to his line, maybe he's feeling a bit responsible for the goal conceded against Mansfield when he came for the corner and got nowhere near (especially if he read the comments on here last week).

Another one here who feels sorry for Sam Togwell. We were crying out for someone to prevent panic spreading when we conceded straight after HT.

I'm still gutted. This hurts more than last week and the worst thing about it, is that i know this is just the sort of defeat that can haunt a team for a long while.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

yes, but even so, it was bread and butter stuff. 2 of the goals basic balls into the box from set pieces.
A new hope.

even so, you would expect the CB pair to deal with basic balls into the box.

We were 3-0 up Ffs!!!!!! Any half decent cb pairing should be able to win this game at that score. Im certain mdcxlllliv and bonnyman would see the game out with that lead! Lets get a reality chech here. It's the players fault for not seeing it out

With a 3-0 lead, I think me and my sister should have been able to see the game out as a centre back pairing

Seriously, I don't really know what went wrong. I was there but spent the whole of the second half thinking I was having a bad dream from which I'd surely awake. Sadly not.

Anyway, on a brighter note, I think it was just one of those days. I wouldn't expect us to throw away a 3-0 lead again anytime soon. I hope!

I share those concerns. Confidence will be shot to pieces and I think this defeat is going to have ramifications.

A bit doom and gloom that, but a game is coming quickly to put things right
