I've not been today, but the facts speak for themselves.
Three nil up, everything we could've hoped for after last week, yet the most devastating forty five minutes witnessed in many years.
I can take losing to a side who've nothing to offer but ultra-negative, cynical tactics after totally dominating a game...but this? I'll not lie; the legs have been kicked from under me.
However let's not press any panic buttons.
If Cook got it wrong changing formation then admit it and don't do it again. If players became complacent then admit and don't do it again. If mistakes were made admit them and don't do them again.
At which point we realise we're still top of the league and get back to what's served us so well 'til this point.
In a perverse sense facing fellow promotion favourites Fleetwood could be the best antidote to today's debacle.
Let's win it and move on from there.
Being top of the league is fine. Trouble is, it's trotted out to stifle any criticism.
Is the defence a bit shaky - can't be, we're top of the league. Is Richards scoring enough - must be, we're top of the league. Are we being over-elaborate when in sight of goal - can't be, we're top of the league. Is the bl**dy coffee overpriced - can't be, we're top of the league.
The same mind-set seems to have got to the players now - we must be good, we're top of the league. Well, it doesn't impress the opposition, it just makes them fight harder.
But after all that we always play c**p at Morecambe, so what's new? Should have got Togwell on to win the midfield back.
