Now the two form teams in the division face off next week!
Regardless of staying up or going down, plenty of spirit, bottle and application displayed in the last month from a team that was getting hammered left right and centre.
Great result - enjoy your weekend chaps.

Derbyshire have two home games but one is v Durham then Warwickshire who are potentially catchable. Notts go to Durham and Middlesex then host Somerset. Somerset aside from that game host Surrey who then go on to play Warwickshire and Yorkshire. So it appears all playing each other!!

Notts's bonus points haven't been added so that table is false anyway.

We are out of the relegation zone and that's all that matters.....fantastic result! a win against durham (unlikely) or Warwickshire (nicker gripper) would do it! or lot and lots of rain...... COME ON DERBYSHIRE!!!!!

To be honest i'm not convinced as in my experience if the league do something like this in the past they've notified clubs well in advance of it happening but we shall see. As it stands it looks like our division next season will be :-
Ilkeston 2nds and Sth WIngfield 2nds down from 4N both of whom finished 130+ points behind the rest of the division and by all accounts were very poor.
Belper Meadows and Belper Amateurs up from 6N. Meadows probably a useful side bearing in mind they dumped their first team this season and a few stayed to play well below where they have been playing before. Ams i dont know a lot about other than they play on the top of a B****Y great hill and you dont want to be away there early in the season!!
That leaves this lot from 5N to make up the division....
Chesterfield Barbarians - 1st XI
Ashover CC - 1st XI
Eckington CC, Derbyshire - 2nd XI
Denby CC, Derbyshire - 3rd XI
Alfreton CC - 2nd XI
Selston Town CC - 1st XI
Sandiacre Town CC - 3rd XI
Early predictions and its always finger in the wind as you never know how teams will end up especially with 2nd\3rd teams is that us, you and Eckington will be there or there abouts again plus Meadows to be in the mix. Be interesting to see what happens with Alfreton as Lineker has scored a bucket load of runs to fire them up to the Prem and then is emigrating to Oz this winter..their best player by a street!!

Aye...well done on the promotion and title. Strange season for me...so stop\start that i've not really felt like i was waiting for the end of the season.
One little thing...interesting story brewing over the border in the Notts Prem where one of the bigger sides, Mansfield Hosiery Mills, appear to have been thrown out of the Prem and banned from it for three years after getting caught paying more than the allowed two players. Now i suspect its one of those where all those playing etc know pretty much all the clubs are doing it but it appears to be the first time a team has been done for it. Must have some compelling evidence to be brave enough to do it.
