And in the first over as well!!!

Note who got a 5 for in the Somerset innings as well!!!

Somersets batting was never going to fail twice. Just need to hope we can bat in the second innings as well

Been listening on the radio today and it sounds like the ball swings about in the first hour due to overnight moisture. I'm still confident and I am the eternal pessimist.

Plenty of incentive as Surrey are struggling.

Interesting to see that the ECB pitch inspector has studied things again earlier today and declared the pitch as "Ok" so no points deduction.

Good couple of late wickets, the last one especially. A couple early tomorrow and we're still strong favourites but I don't want to be chasing many more than 175.

36-4, get Compton out early with new ball coming up and there is new hope

I don't think we want to be chasing more than 140/150 with out past record

We chased down 174 at Sussex for the loss of only one wicket against a better bowling attack.

Hard to say for certain without being there but have things settled down a bit and its a case of getting through the new ball and things are a bit easier?

Could be just a bit too big but, I'd rather have these lads chasing than messrs Godleman, Redfern and Ches.

well yes, Borrington is a digin man, there is absolutely no rush to get these runs, take it into tomorrow, although, scrap that, just seen the forecast.

Time for Chandrapaul to earn his dosh if the youngsters fail

4-0 after 6, is this the best approach?

Some early boshing from Chesney could have paid dividends but then i'm not sure blocking everything back to the point of being 4-0 from 8 with us scoring one boundary is the way forward. Hopefully the pressure wont build to much by blocking to much but i can only assume the new ball is doing a bit and once that has gone its a lot easier but then they have Chawla compared to us bowling Wainwright, Madsen and Chanderpaul!!

Presumably they were aiming to be none down at tea. Although neither Slater or Borrington are particularly free scoring at this level.

Like you said earlier Jon, maybe the trickiest time is now getting through the new ball. Suppose only time will tell.
