And that's all we can do... speculate! We have no divine right to know and that's how it should be. The only people to know is the player and whoever's been involved in the contract negations or whoever he chooses to tell and even then a fair few of those people won't know what any of the other players earn (i.e., the player, his agent etc).

Though on the same debate... it really does irritate me when posters on here have a go at someone else for saying 'you don't know that someone is on a good wage'... Well no, but it doesn't take a genius to know that they are (just how good their wage is anyone’s guess, but you know that they aren't here for £500 quid and a bag of chips that's for sure.). It's the same as when some of us reckoned we must have blown the set budget for the season and others ridiculing the suggestion... it's been confirmed tonight and as DA said, it's bl @@ dy obvious that we've blown the budget (what planet do some folks live on, but yet they ridicule others that put reasonable thoughtout posts?)

For this reason and from what I'm picking up from Paul Cook.. is that Hirdy will be moved on to counter some of the over spend.

I seems Hird and Edwards will start Satday because Cooper and Evatt arn't fit. PC will get some right stick if we start well and then he sacrifices Hird.

a) Afford it

b) Bring in real quality.. i.e. Roberts, Lester etc (who can argue with those two)
