The drop catch and poor throw in has cost them 2 wickets, and if Footitt hadn't had that horrendous over they would have been 28/4

To be honest the poor decision by the umpire cost him that over...had Katich been given out as he should have been a new bat wouldnt have took 20 off the rest of the over. This said i'm still not convinced he should be in the t20 side...got some tap on Saturday as well.

After what he has just done he needs to pack in playing cricket.

Poor throw in again from groenewald which the commentator just mentioned looks like it hurt him.

I've had to come back to work so only got ball by ball scoring on CricInfo to go by now.

Not sure why Morkel is only going to bowl three overs when he is comfortably the best bowler.

Groenewalds overs were good, big mistake that could cost was bowling redfern the over before and not Morkel

Yep they will be key....possibly worth just taking what we can from those and targetting the likes of Ali and some of the others.

Three dot balls and then off for rain....may not be the case but did Madsen have his head screwed on knowing they were ahead of the D/L par score, knew it close to going off and knew losing a wicket would mean we would be behind the D/L par score?

He would have asked the umpires as soon as it started dribbling.

Top man, how the WI think they can do without him?

Well their loss is our gain

Great that at the age 38 his enthusiasm is still plain to see

Some muppet on Radio Manchester said Derbyshire were a weak 20 20 team before the match. Would have liked to hear his comments after our 7 wicket victory

They'll probably deny it happened or call it a 'fluke'. Tends to be the response when we beat any 'big' county.

I'd drop Footitt for Alex Hughes personally. Clare and Morkel didn't bowl their full lot and Hughes would strengthen the batting too.

Aiming to go Friday now. Should be good.

I've kept trying to give Footitt a chance as I like the idea of someone bowling just shy of 90mph and a left armer but I think it's time for a change. He isn't getting enough wickets to warrant the runs he goes for. Hughes could be a good option to bring in, that change would leave bowling options of morkel, groenwald, Clare, Hughes, wainwright, Durston, Redfern and even Hughes....4 seamers and 4 spinners to bowl 20 overs. Could do with Whiteley back...is he injured or something?

Whiteley was chronically out of form but I expected to see him in Chesterfield's side & he hasn't been.

Chesney's not fit to bowl at the moment apparently.

He played for Chesterfield once i think but not sure what he's done since then. He hasnt been playing in the Derbyshire seconds either which suggests injury.

Ah...just checked his twitter and seen this from yesterday :-

Robert Glenn ‏@glennroberta 15h
@RossWhiteley44 @derbyshireccc is the reason you aren't playing due to injury?

Ross Whiteley Ross Whiteley ‏@RossWhiteley44 13h
@glennroberta @derbyshireccc Unfortunately yes, hoping to be back soon though!

And then this from back at the end of May :-

Ross Whiteley Ross Whiteley ‏@RossWhiteley44
Seriously frustrating being out with a broken thumb.. cant wait to get back playing as my relationship with the gym is becoming suffocating

Richard Browning Richard Browning ‏@rich_browning1 28 May
@RossWhiteley44 how you do that mate? #bouncer

Ross Whiteley Ross Whiteley ‏@RossWhiteley44 28 May
@rich_browning1 Nah went forward to one and it took off and took my thumb with it.. Spicy deck at derby! #entertainingtowatch

Sounds like it could be lively at the T20 game tomorrow night at the County Ground!!

Due to unprecedented demand for tickets – advanced sales have been temporarily suspended for tomorrow night’s Friends Life t20 match versus Nottinghamshire Outlaws.

Applications for tickets can be made on 01332 388 101 and the Club will return the calls - on a first come first served basis - if any tickets remain for the match.

Members and Six Pack Ticket holders are being advised to arrive early to guarantee their entry to the ground.

A specific number of tickets have been held back to ensure entry for the projected number of Members and Six Pack Ticket holders attending the game, but the only way to guarantee entrance is by arriving with plenty of time in hand.

Gates will open half an hour early at 5pm and refreshments will be available throughout the evening.

The capacity of the County Ground is 4,999 and – with health and safety a top priority – nobody will be admitted to the ground once capacity is met.

All those attending the fixture are advised to arrive at the ground as early as possible to avoid congestion. Gates will be open at the County Ground half an hour early from 5pm.
