Looks like a fair few of your 1sts played the first two games of the season in the 2's. Teams seems to get away with 1 or 2, I played in a 2nd team cup game last season and we were warned about it by the league. 4 or 5 which is the case here is a bit much though!

I did make a pop at Greeny the other week when he congratulated me for my first wicket of the season by mentioning i hadnt turned out for the seconds this season!!

Looking at the sides for the first two games their are probably 4 "first team" in there of which one is Parkin so not sure he can count! Denty has moved between sides this season and whilst Miller played in one i think he has played more seconds than firsts so far this season.

To be honest i dont think its right to do....as i informed some of the Cross lot last season when they ended up getting done for fielding first teamers at Shipley Hall.

I agree, and also remember telling them last season
There should be some leeway mind
our firsts didn't have a game last week and none of us were allowed to drop to the seconds so they were scratching around for a side
I would have liked a game (and I have been useless this season so should be in 2nds anyway) and we should have been allowed to put our young spinner in the side who bowls about 5 overs a week in the firsts and bats 10!
rules are harsh, but the sentiment behind them is correct
used to be well annoying in the bassetlaw league turning up bank holiday monday to play a 2nd team full of 1st team stars

I think it does need to be very careful in when and where they do sides for this sort of thing especially first couple of games of the season. Could be a case that that person is going to play second team through the season.
For what its worth the rules do allow for movement between sides under normal situations such as getting promoted for good form or dropped for bad form but something needs to be in their to stop the silly situations we keep hearing about in the Bassetlaw where some Prem regular drops down to smash a double hundred for a third team or something. Part of it is for clubs to manage things accordingly as well so that fringe players can play both first\second for example if required.

I'm on an iPhone but the Sky Sports Cricket one is normally pretty good and Cricinfo have just released a new one. Failing that if you go to the Cricinfo site (http://www.espncricinfo.com/) it diverts to a mobile site which is pretty good. Need to change the drop down top right to get domestic scores. I've not bothered with the ECB app for a while now.
**Edit**
Looks like the Sky Sports cricket one is iPhone only.

Cricinfo is the best one the ECB was good last few seasons but this season seems shocking, sky one doesn't update much

I can see Notts racking up a decent total with the line up they've put out.

Personally the let down for us today was the bowling. Kula was just swinging and us bowling short played into his hands!

Chris Broad lacks the pace to be bowling anything short at The Oval.
I still remember the time Yuvraj hit him for 6 sixes, couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

I'm assuming you mean Stuart....Chris Broad never really bothered with bowling whilst playing let alone now he's a match referee!

Not sure its fair to pick out Broad from yesterday...all of the seamers bowler some rubbish at Kulasekara.

Correct. I did mean Stuart.
I see our 10 and 11 have just put on 50 at Trent Bridge as they chase batting points.

And you've done it again....

Derbyshire CCC @derbyshireccc 42s
Wicket! Footitt caught at long-on by Wessels, off Patel, for 24; Derbyshire 391 all out (Turner 23*)
Handy late runs though.
