A member of my family tells me that we are signing Jordan Ball who is out of contract at Doncaster. Scored with his first touch against us in the JPT. He is a local lad, scored a few down at Belper on loan. If Hazel is being loaned out I could see a signing like this, won't be on a lot

Pretty sure he's a mansfield fan. Can't see him coming here or have enough behind him for Cook to sign him

Seems the football rumours site is getting quoted as fact again:

03 Jun 2013 10:15:26
James harper is set to join Scunthorpe from Doncaster for free despite harper having another year on his contract he is surplus to requirements also recently released Jordan ball will sign for chesterfield and paddy Mullen will sign for York

and this beauty:

03 Jun 2013 01:51:43
Mark Richards is expected to sign for Rotherham United by the end of the week in a deal believed to be worth 100K, Chesterfield will be happy to lose him of there Wage bill as very unaffective last season

Someone negged me for deriding the most unreliable football site ever - chuuuuuummmmmmmp.

My point being, these things spread quite quickly and before you know it someone passes it on as fact - where the original 'rumour' came from a farcical site.

I put on 3 players names stating that they were linked with us as a wind up a couple of seasons ago, within literally 20 minutes all 3 names were being touted on here.

Which is exactly why I'm trying to erase the curse of loose, lose, their, there, they're, where, were, we're, should of, could of, would of etc etc etc from this board. So WE don't sound like Rovrum or Mansfailed fans.
What thanks do I get? None.

Trev

You do realise that we'll shortly be having a load of players on 'trail', like we do every summer?
