Yep...part of the reason i've opted not to play on Saturday to give my back a week extra to have a chance of playing the following week. Not sure standing in the rain and cold would have done it much good. Only downside is returning a week on Saturday means a trip to Eckington!!

If the forecast is anything like accurate there'll be little cricket. Apparently they've smartened it up at Eckington over the winter in preparation for the Prem. I've never been when it's not been either cold/rainy or both.

Notice not getting Monty out last night meant that when we got him out this morning it allowed Ed Joyce to get back from his "family matter" and come in at 11 having been away from the ground all day yesterday. When we had them 5 down it looked promising only to let them off the hook.

we really miss KP at 4
ok some players being cautious but when you have the whole top 5 with strike rates of 25 you have trouble, especially when wickets go down quickly
with KP out I'd be tempted to bat Prior or Bairstow at 4, just so we have an attack minded player in the top order

That said Taylor has just played a few shots and chances his arm a bit..could easily have not worked. He's the only one on either side that's got away.

needs dropping for good
Bresnan the better option, better bowler (and would at least pitch it up) and better batsman, also hardly lost a test match in an England shirt (feel bad bigging up a porkshire player)
Also need Tremlett back fit to replace Finn who is going backwards
Broad is even becoming a figure of fun to the commentators due to his arrogance
Anderson, Tremlett, Bresnan and Swann was the bowling line up at the test I wactched in Sydney in the last ashes series over there and with everyone fit I still reckon that's our best bowling attack

Things need to be said in the Derbyshire dressing room, otherwise we'll struggle to get one win, ne-mind the four we hope we can get to stop up!

Under the laws it's perfectly legal. May look strange because in his arm is so low and not the traditional brushing his ear type high arm in terms if the rules about throwing its fine. The arm doesn't bend more than the 15 degrees permitted these days. The sad thing about Malinga was his decision to jack in test cricket so soon to rake it in playing stupid t20 cricket all over the shop.
