Bit early and cold in the season for me.

Just watched Yorkshire smashed round Headingley by Somerset. Special innings by Jos Butler.

The new KP in my eyes.

If weather holds off to Cromford Meadows for the first ever time for an U13's game on Monday.
East stand second class citizen.

I think I'll struggle to get to much at Derby other than the odd evening T20.

Just brilliant...hits it so hard from all over. Strange ramp shots with brutal smashing it straight. Discussions about Morgan, bairstow etc at 6 could be pointless!!

Interesting that Derbyshire can lost every toss so far this season. Pretty important in games like the Notts and the Middlesex game. Lost today's on a green 'un but at 110-2 it hasn't affected us just yet.

Poor again. They need a one day win to give them some confidence.

Just lost the last 3 wickets in 8 balls with Footitt hitting Monty P for six inbetween to end on 223 all out.

Elsewhere got to love the first day of the first test of the summer at Lords...especially when its dry and they are playing!! Lords packed to the rafters by all accounts. Who said test match cricket is dead and we need more T20 rubbish!!

Eventful start to the kent innings....38-2 from 6 overs. Footitt took both wickets and gone for most of the runs...3-0-27-2!

Had the pleasure of facing him a couple of years ago when he played for Stainsby. Just back from injury and not bowling full pace but was plenty quick enough still but did have a habit of spraying the ball around a bit. Even at DCCL Division 1 he was expensive..thing is he takes wickets as well so probably worth a gamble.
