When I say "stamp of Dave Allen" as a topic title, I don't mean produce a Royal Mail stamp with Dave Allen's head on it (though I will campaign to parliament for this if we make the championship):)

No, I mean the stamp/mark of Dave Allen is that he really doesn't do things by halves. Whether it be giving Sheridan and team long term contracts (DISASTROUS BUT BOLD) or letting Cook and Turner totally re-shape the whole set up (V RISKY COOK IS STILL A BIT OF AN UNKNOWN QUANTITY, BUT BOLD BOLD BOLD!) I think Dave Allen would rather fail big than be safe but dull.

I have had my doubts about Cook but I fickle as I am I am beginning to like all this. Just as long as it is a change of direction involving such things as better scouting rather than Norton Lea type false economy cost cutting that will damage us long term.

I,ve been far from convinced regarding Cook, but I do think he,s now beginning to make an impression. We certainly improved during the latter part of the season and I think bringing Richardson in a an excellent move. The bloke has done a fantastic job keeping Accies in the league and now Cook has someone who he actually wants. In addition I think he making the right moves with the squad and with a bit of luck may attract a few decent players. I am more optimistic now than at any time since he arrived and I genuinely hope he can succeed. If not, then I suggest we already have our next manager.

 There was nothing bold about our relegation season.Failed to strengthen the squad and convincing the manager his depleted squad was strong enough for Div 1.
Agree with being bold now though,or is it ruthless. <_<
Many a good tune
