I don't see the harm in adapting the song slightly, Man utd still sing about cantona and liverpool about past players. It just needs to be in the right context so not to make the current/future players feel under pressure.

In relation to Lester, apparently the club received 4 letters of complaints about the release of Jack and the 4 were all invited in for the dicision to be explained.
