He is exactly what we need a big strong centre half with a brain who chips in with a few goals, trottman is not the answer,i have not ever seen a player like him,he has the legs of a man 50 years of age, with no elasticity in them.Coopers form has also been poor of late but i put that down to having so much put on young shoulders, with cresswell and cooper ,we could have the next Green and Ridley.

Can't wait for August, the pain in the behind that close season has been on this board for the last 2 years has been unbearable - can't see this years close season being any different unless PC gets signing players and get signing them early.

I think at times we are a bit honest and need someone to get in the refs ear a bit to get decisions etc a bit like Jones and a couple of others did for Bradford. Cresswell could be that sort of figure.

Couldn't agree more

Of course not, cumbersome and slow is just the ticket

We could always sign Scott Griffiths to play CH as he's played there to a good standard😉

With Allott gone & Danny Whitaker to follow he'll need someone to build his diatribes around.

I doubt he will be around to do that, he will have topped himself when Randall gets released.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

I agree Bonny, like I said in another post I have been an admirer of Cresswell for a while, a different class to Trotters, who I might add has done enough for another contract in my opinion. However if we do sign Cresswell to replace him i will be very happy with that.

Cresswell dominated for Sarfend when they turned us over at the Prolapse but a stricter ref wouldn't have let him get away with half of the challenges he made. Even so, I'm all for letting the game flow and would prefer refs that do let the physical side of the game go a bit.

He could be a cracking signing, a bit like a slightly more aggressive and vocal Trotman, though Trotters probably does deserve a new deal if he wants one.
These go to eleven.

Very good! I once showed this film (the funniest of all films) to a class of Russian students and one of them had to leave the room in hysterics at the 'Biggus Diccus' moment.
These go to eleven.

Paul Cook always said that he wants goalscorers in all positions so a CB that's scored 8 is a square peg in a square hole if you ask me.

Perhaps we might look elsewhere for a goalscorer with Trotts going in the opposite direction

According to the Porkshire post he's linked with a move to Barnsley.

Seems a bit random?
Is there a clue to something there?

Who is Ryan Cresswell?

Initially I thought it was the guy who scored a late goal at Saltergate for York City in a 1-1 draw against CFC in 1998/99.

Then I realized that was actually Richard Cresswell,

Ryan is only 25 so at least he won't be seeking a quiet end to his career.

What are they offering him if so - a better class of relegation battles?

I mean, really..

It is a toss up between Cresswell and Rob Jones. (He is 6ft 5 though but old) apparently he was offered Player Manager but refused because of interest in Derbyshire

Rob Jones signed a new contract as player coach at Donny.

rob jones was never in a million years going to come here,he has been outstanding this season for donny and has relished the coaching role he has been given this season,i hope the cresswell and jones rumour is not linked as it may mean we have no chance of cresswell.
