I was there, cracking day very hot and very drunk. Think we (Beanhead, Riley, Cocko, Kelvin, Irish Trev etc) travelled up early Saturday morning in Fat Jacks minibus for pub opening and left late Saturday night after getting bladdered.

Seem to recall all of us changing into our decent clobber in a public bog after the game to go out on the lash (or should I say continue on the lash).

Cracking header from Holland.

Looking at the names listed you probably used to travel on castle coaches for some games??
2010/2011 seems a distant memory

A mate of mine went to Bloomfield Road on one of the scorchio visits and was searched on entry despite wearing only a pair of shorts, some flip-flops and a Union Jack flag.
These go to eleven.

I was apoplectic when he missed that. People thought I was nuts. I was a bit drunk though.

I remember now why I was so angry, the keeper should have walked and he didnt and I think he tipped the ball onto the post.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Got bladdered after the match and missed the 8pm coach return, ended up kipping in the railway station and getting train back next day.

Back then (late 80s early 90s) it was often me driving to away games with Beanhead, Alan and Keith Round and Paul Bates (Bambi), or if enough of us were going we'd get Fat Jack and his minibus to take us, usually another couple of lads from Grassmoor or Clay Cross made up the numbers.

I'm getting old. It doesn't seem like so long since JH became another one of those freed youngsters who would come back to haunt us.

Rumour has it Gary Johnson is keen to sign up his son, Lee Johnson for the 3rd time following his release less than a year into a 2 1/2 year deal there.

Didn't realise he'd won the Scottish Cup with them in May, too.

Was it something about if they moved 50 yards or more it was classed as a "new" ground, rather than refurb and get more in grant money from the football trust
A new hope.

I didn't realise how far they'd moved the pitch. I've only been once, three years later and we were down the side on temporary seating with that end empty.

Alan Knill appointed interim manager of Torquay until the summer wilst Ling recovers from his 'dibilitating illness'.

Also, the much mentioned and covetted Tom Eaves has joined Shrewsbury on loan from Bolton.

From what I saw in home games I didn't see a lot in him. Belter at Bristol Rovers though.
