I could listen to David Lloyd all day. Anyone read his book " start the car" it's hilarious!!!

He is very good...brings a bit of humour to things and a good balance with some of the other commentators. Interestingly for this series the Sky commentators are actually doing it from a studio in London watching it on TV as they arent allowed to do it from the ground. BCCI arent letting anyone other than their official coverage do anything from the ground, Atherton is doing his bits from outside, whilst also banning photo agencies from the ground trying to force the media to buy photos from their official photo people. Throw in the BCCI's refusal to use DRS cos they reckon it doesnt work when every other nation is fine with it and they are a set!!

Bumbles book is on my list to read...did read Swanns autobiography whilst on holiday and it was very good.

They wanted £500,000 extra from sky to help set up the studios etched and sky refused!

They'd ask for £1m if Mark Nicholas was on the commentary team!
Think Athers managed to sneak on the pitch at one point but got spotted so had to return to the wasteland at the back of the stadium!
Agree about Bumble - very amusing but very passionate and knowledgeable about the game - I've read his book - highly recommended
I can sort of cope with the TV rights issue but the refusal to use DRS is tantamount to cheating in my book

Good day so far. Hopefully get these last 2 wickets without the need for Cook and Compton to get their pads on again. Innings victories in India don't come around very often.

Very good position for us to be in, moving on to Nagpur.
Mug?? Being wrong never gets boring!

Decent bating by Ashwin seen them through to a fifth day...shown a few of his more illustrious batting colleagues how to do it. Few moments from England through tiredness but can't complain really.

<_< Well done to Joe Root making his debut Test match.A creditable, patient 73 helped turn round a poor start.Joe,like Samit Patel is a product of Worksop College. <_<

If Patel wasn't going to bowl much then he had to be dropped. Root took his chance well and can bowl if need be.

The more Yorkshire players playing for England the better, they will struggle next year in the county championship. Did anyone see Dhoni do the in thinkable on 99 ?

Heard some stunning news for DCCC last night. I’ve heard we have only gone and signed Chanderpaul on a 2 year deal.
If only....

I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happens although a deal like that would mean he's packing up with the Windies. We certainly some experienced quality in the batting line up.

Talking of Derbyshire think we're going to head to Barbados whilst they are over doing their Pre season in march.

Quite amusing actually and they both just want their heads banging together and told to get on with it.

Finished it today.

Highly recommended to anyone into cricket.

In fact, scrap that, anyone who likes a good yarn.

Pure Bumble, and some brilliant anecdotes.

Well he's signed and to make it better he is available for the whole season....that is a top signing and hopefully one that will have supporters stand up and take notice a bit. Also an excellent signing in terms of helping the younger lads as well.

I dont think it was at all, remember we dont have the financial clout of most of the other teams, it appears now that we can actually compete on a level footing.

Chandrapaul has to be one of the most boring batsman i have ever witnessed but I can see many batting out for draws coming this season.
