2nd half on Saturday, the game was crying out for the subtle creative talents of Danny Whittaker. The gaffer himself had acknowledged that Jay O'Shea is lacking in fitness and, to me, his contribution was limited. Danny should have been on in that role just behind the main striker that suits him to a tee. We've not had cause to question much of what Paul Cook has done in his few short weeks at the helm, but I think he missed a trick big time on Saturday...

i thought jay o'shea had a fairly poor game saturday but i know he is better than that and will get better. I agree though, i was hoping a change would be made in the game. I'd have brought danny on for Jay and kept Dickenson on, even though he quietened 2nd half.

 We had all the momentum in the secondhalf, hit woodwork twice and their keeper did well on more than one occassion to keep us out.So the manager has decisions to make to hopefully improve things. He is perhaps privy to info that we know nothing about so we have to trust his judgement. We will all have our own ideas and they'll be all different.

Whittaker wouldn't have stood the pace of that second half.

You can't play Whittaker and Randall in the same midfield and Randall was playing well so it wasn't feasible to make that substitution.
