What do you think darcy Sarto and Stuart Basson ?

Why me?

Deserved red, kudos for jack to be able to slam dunk him, frustration got the better of him, not playing and nearly scoring at the end. He misses 3 games, what we need to do is make sure is we don't miss him.

As per the hyperbole will be that Lester let us down blah blah, as I've said lets make sure we win without him. Then we he gets a chance he can bang in a few goals to get closer to 100, which we ALL want him to do.

He was appalling, fell for Burton's time wasting and play acting hook line and sinker

 Made poor decisions and guessed at times when he hadn't a clear view.Never used his assistants who seemed to shrug their shoulders at times.

All but two, I think; all but three in his entire career. A shockingly poor record for someone who apparently does this deliberately, to get a week or two off.

Thanks for that. It was a genuine question and your answer should kill off this myth once and for all

Just because a player isn't available to play, doesn't mean he's not at the ground, DIFH will benefit from Jack being in the lounges on Boxing day ;)

Hoare (400)

I'm not trying to justify it here, but can you blame him for being p*ssed off and frustrated? He'll obviously know he's still capable of starting and scoring goals at home but he finds himself reduced to 15-20 minute appearances where he hardly has time to work his magic. While we have a player of that calibre and talent, we should be using him more often as part of a 4-4-2 with Richards. Those two were absolutely incredible against Accrington, so Cook should know what they're capable of when they're working together up front.

Anyway, you must admit, is was pretty funny. Seeing a 5'9" 37 year old drop a 6'2" bloke who's 10 years younger than him is a memory I'll take to the grave. It was a wonderful little kung-fu throw. Was like something Jackie Chan would do in the Rush Hour films!

It has been dispelled time and again but people keep peddling the myth

It was a really stupid thing to do but possibly partially brought on by never getting a game

He must be ring rusty by now and will be even more so come January

I really wouldn't be surprised if he left in January

Hope that wasn't his last meaningful contribution

I'm not condoning his actions, but it made me laugh too; better than anything I saw in the Olympic judo competition - if I'd been able to remember the Japanese name for that particular throw I'd have started up a chant with it!

Let's not make one moment of stupidity turn into a witch hunt especially when he is only a back up player now.

I haven't yet seen the playback from yesterday, but for me there is no kudos, or anything funny about what Lester did.
The mans an idiot for getting drawn in, it's got nothing to do with him being rusty or frustrated because hes on the bench. It's simply because he can't control his temper and he's not clever enough to get away with it.
There were plenty of players who managed to stay on the field much longer than him and take much more stick than him, he let himself and his team down badly.
I'll be interested to see how Paul cook handles it, with his emphasis on the team work ethic, whether he sees it
worthy of any internal punishment.

What disappoints me more than anything is that Jack is a hero in the eyes of almost all of our younger fans, my son included. Coming away from the ground I had to persuade him that throwing a player to the ground is not a good idea when he plays today. I'm sure that on reflection, Jack will have regretted what he did but I would have thought that a man of his experience has been kicked around by defenders enough to be bigger than the reaction he gave yesterday. Ironically, turn the clock back twelve months to 17 December 2011 versus Walsall given a retrospective ban for a similar incident not seen by the referee. All we all want to see from Jack Lester is the quality striker we have all come to love - as you have said Paul Cook's handling of it will be interesting.

He's left us with only Boden for cover up to the window now if Richards gets injured.

And he may well have settled his own future - will PC offer a new contract to a player who does that? No excuse for what Jack did whether he was frustrated or not. When Talbot was denied what was, arguably, a good claim for a penalty, he didn't promptly slam-dunk the nearest Burton player.

As for the ref, he was a sad joke. From the outset, he allowed the Burton players to move the ball significantly forward and infield at every free kick and apparently missed two or three clear fouls but then, amazingly, saw the first one commited by a CFC player. As for time-wasting, their keeper must have single-handedly shortened the game by at least 5 minutes!
If nothing acts faster than anadin, why do we buy anadin?
