We got to League 1 playing with flair. If the club had remained focused and prepared correctly, we could be plying our trade at the top end of that league or better still have now reached the 'promised land'.

I think Wright would have led us into the play offs this season if given the job fulltime, but given the players at his disposal that should be the minimum requirement. Allen wants an entertaining product that is also successful. As a paying customer I have no issues with his philosophy. and admire his decision to appoint someone new in an effort to achieve that.

With regards Dyche, you would surmise that if the football he played was akin to Allen's beliefs he would have been in with a shout, but for all we know, Dyche might not have wanted to come!!

Yes he might not have wanted to come, but it would be good to know if we tried

yes and for that reason we'll probably never know, just curious as to if we tried for the fans choice (arguably) and made our choice from assessing other candidates. Oh for Barry Hubbard to still be here to have let it slip, Sheridan shading the job over Colin Calderwood last time

Dyche is rumoured to be being unveiled as Burnley boss tomorrow.

That would explain why he wasn't interested in our vancancy when asked about it.
