To be honest, after yesterday, I'm losing the will to live! So posting anything remotely coherent is a strain right now!

To be fair some of the mistakes are different.
Last year you moaned we didn't make signings early, we wouldn't pay decent wages and when we come to make signings we were left to fight over the scraps.
This year you have moaned about making signings early, paying over the odds for what we have got. We signed what looked like a 20 a season goal man, which is what you wanted.
We brought in a championship central defender, which is what you wanted.
DA said we should be top 3 and nothing else was acceptable. He sacked the manager, gave the assistant the chance and has now brought in someone else at a cost.
The manager we brought in is one which you were advocating his style of play and "why can't we play like that". We bring the exact man in and you question and moan about it.
We might be making mistakes but I wouldn't say they are all the same mistakes.
Fact is Warfey unless we are winning every week you moan

I don’t think we’ve made the same mistakes as last season – we’ve just made different ones.
Whilst yesterday’s performance and result was abysmal, I think the appointment of Paul Cook is a step in the right direction. He is the type of no-nonsense, passionate manager we desperately need. His comments yesterday about Chesterfield FC being a big club for this division is spot on. It’s about time the players stepped up to the mark and justified their pay packets.

Same basic mistake they left Sheridan in charge of the retained list and recruitment

But most, including the thread maker, heralded the signings at the time and gregor apart mist appeared to agree with the players we released and the reasons behind it (in the main injury prone)

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, eh?
There is no doubt that most people were buzzing when the likes of Richards, Hird and Togwell were signed up in the close season.
Just on the point about the retained list/recruitment and the responsibility therein, didn't DA say at the fans forum that the retained list was being agreed between DA, CT and JS?

Well whoever the manager would have had a major say in it but a retained list of 5 strikers with a clear need for a 6th in Richards
A midfield list that retained both Randall and Whitaker with a need yet still for two CMs and an LM
The signing of one or two youngsters to many left the squad unbalanced and lobsided especially in defence before they even started recruiting.
