I'm a big fan of Sir Jack but I think it's time to drop him and try another system.
Playing him up front on his own is just not working and playing 4-5-1 at home is never going to get us promoted.

.... I agree . Maybe we should start with aguerro and balotelli nex week? Or maybe van Persie and Rooney?

What other system do you suggest with our excuse of a squad?

Jack's a victim of playing in a team and formation that is the least suited you could possibly wish for him. I felt sorry for him having to battle that centre back every time Ridehalgh and Hird lumped it forward or Randall lumping it into the advertising boards.

And play who exactly.

Apparently Westcarr is only good enough for a cameo

You have pretty much just answered your question there.
Its the formation, not the player thats the problem.

So who do we put up front??? It's not jack. He's never been good as 1 up front or long ball. Promotion year at home. Play to his feet around the edge of the box, he will link the play, play in the other striker, get free kicks. And score goals. How many did he set up for whitaker, davies , smalley, oh and he scored was it 19 himself. Pele, ronaldo, or even messi, couldn't do it with that team behind him. He's still the best we have but we have use him right.

no, you build a team to supply him and a n other striker, (to be brought in hopefully), how they should be with balls into the box from the wings not from the defence, and get them facing the opposition goal when the ball comes to them.

there are still not many better strikers in the lower leagues than jack, he just needs the service.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

It's the missed chances that's the problem. Hird missed with a free header. Jack headed a cross straight at the goalie. Westy misskicked in front of goal. Somebody (can't remember) hit the side netting with a lovely 20 yard curler. Both Westy and Jack missed a left wing cross. Whitaker missed at the far post. And so on, and so on.

Then we were mugged. I'm not too despondent. I thought Hird, Atkinson, Togwell, and Darikwa were excellent. I'm perplexed by the substitutions though.

Pathetic post based on a very rare off day for jack. Yeah good idea drop the top scorer.... Not

There's about 12 more of our squad to think about moving before anyone even starts to think of jack

He's been he same for the last three home games imo.

Dropping him would be a bit rash, maybe try and play the ball to him in opposition to lumping it up front would be a better idea

from what I've heard Darikwa went off with a broken nose PC says he took togwell off to be more attacking and just a guess but is smiith fully fit yet
