How the hell does a team like Accrington playe like that? Who is responsible for scouting , recruitment, tactics. They are at times amazing..although i'n sure Wright will point a finger at his own cloggers on midfield. I hope to God we aren't going to meet teams like that every week!!
I suspect Accy will blow hot and cold and end up mid table. They were certainly boiling last night....and hardly anyone over 5'9!!

As good as their management/coaches are at getting their team to play nice football at this level, they are equally as dire at coaching/managing their back four, conceded too many whilst not exactly under the cosh over the 90 minutes.........

Is Sheridan in charge??

Correct

Getting sick to death of all he threads on here praising accrington. Look at the highlights, look at the defending that let jack in for his first goal (what a finish btw)

If Trotman or hird would've done that there would've been a petition on here to have them put down.

Yes, the word 'Irony' crossed my mind when reading a few threads.

Accrington played very well, lots of energy, passed and moved, closed down well. Boko had a cracking game especially his goal, turned his man dribbled through to the edge of the box d shot well to the bottom corner. That is exactly what we need.. passion and confidence to have a go through/down the centre. Westcarr and Talbot were both ineffective, West carr didnt seem bothered and never really got a sweat on never chased back or closed players down, ok his corners and free kicks are generally good but his passing was poor, he needs to be showing a bit more 'up for it passion'. As already said Talbot, he gives a good impression of running but nothing ever seems to come of it his crosses last night were poor.
We will never play as badly as last night and win again this season. Just put it down to a bad day at the office and start again on Saturday.

Apart from the defending they ran us to pieces. Take our and their defending out of it and there was only one team.

Defending is quite a large part of the game though lol

Why are we always taking things out of the game? "Take the defending out of it" or "if we didn't have Jack Lester we would've been up the mire" well they did defend poorly and we did have Jack Lester so there.

I know but if they did have a decent defence we would have got battered.

Take our goalkeeper out and they'll score from 40 yards.

Take the fans out and the attendance will be 0

Get the gist?

And if we had a decent defence or a world class goalie we wouldn't have got battered (see, it's easy to play this game).

We can only play against the team that are pitched against us, not sure why so many are keen to look for a bad spin on a win.

Were we convincing? No, we were under the cosh for large periods of the game.

Did we deserve the win? Yes, as we scored one more goal than the opposition.

Their graceful defeat was hardly any different than our opening day defeat at Wimbledon, we played them to death.....how much praise was loaded on us after Wimbledon for our graceful defeat?

No but we can be critical without saying 'but what if this, what if that'.
