Consider the gap in resources between these teams!!
The gap in the quality of the two sides was vast.
Therefore, the gap in the quality of the respective coaching teams is vast.
Equally, its clear there's a huge gap in the quality of scouting.
Time for a new management team and pronto.

I agree there are issues - but the man has 2 wins and 2 draws.

AS - I'm a Spireite first and a fan of football a close second. Tonight was a pleasure on two levels - to witness a L2 team like Accy play the quality of football that they did - they deserved to win hands down. Second to see Jack Lester (who I admit I would have got rid off). For me, tonight, with no axe to grind, made it clear that TW/MC are just part of a failed threesome. Yes, results are masking it for now. Tonight Accy just reminded the neutral of the underlying reality at CFC right now.

NEM - agreed but the job of the CEO is to see the footballing reality. Accy did us a favour on two levels tonight - they showed what good coaching can achieve (and by default what ave coaching looks like) and they managed to lose. I'll always take the three points.

f2 - did you go tonight? Accy played us off the park. Appoint Tommy as you wish. It will be just another mistake. Tonight illustrated what quality coaching looks like.

Spot on,saw him coming away from the stadium at 11pm,give him the job,we played some great football tonight but we need to stop giving the ball away it puts us under more pressure and they would not have scored 3 goals.....

Good grief Keith CFC weren't even good enough to be a close second to Accy tonight. Seriously we were played off the park for large periods of the game. We were fortunate that their defence was pants. Accy were worth the attendance money tonight.

Seriously?
You must have watched another match as I thought we were B****Y awful and robbed Accrington who were fair fair better than us....
Super Jack won that match on his own (not literally before anyone starts)....but he did...
By the way we played far better against Rochdale and scrapped a draw...

A little more balance from me Rob. I see some of what you mean but TW is getting the results and deserves his chance.
I was very frustrated tonight. I am not normally one to get vociferous (in a frustrated way) but our football really lacked intelligence tonight. Their manager was screaming "keep the ball" and "work the ball". - which is what they did. And they did it well.
We played two or three passes and then the hopeful percentage ball. This gave them back possession too easily and they focused on simple passes and keeping their shape. We also allowed them play out from the back at will. They picked their passes with too much ease and not enough hassle.
We were not winning second balls from our challenges. I understand zonal defending but it was not working for us tonight. We needed to get tighter to their players. They were finding too much space in our final third.
Westcarr is one of my favourite players but he was appalling tonight. Did not seem interested at all - very disappointing. I thought ROD was also at fault for their first two goals.
What disappointed me the most was our inability to change our shape and our tactics. Apart from Jack, no one stood out in an offensive way - we lacked someone to get the team thinking, we lacked fire in our bellies. I felt Tommy waited too long to change things too. Atkinson made a a good few errors tonight I felt he needed taling out. I would have replaced him with Alllot around 60 mins and encouraged us to keep the ball better.
Accrington played well but we made them look better than they are.
Positives for me were Lester and Forbes. I thought Darikwa did well too when he came on.
Al of the constructive stuff said, playing well counts for nothing if you lose -and we won.
Let's focus on the results. Tommy won't need reminding that our performance tonight was not good enough.
I expect to see changes in the games ahead.

No, I've not been.
So if we're sitting in a play off / auto spot come mid Oct, you'd still want to bring in a new manager?

DRL - all fair points.
I simply feel you understate the gap in class tonight. It was vast.
Darikwa is worth a run now at RW.
You never know with a left wing and a target man and you never know!
