Wycombe went down to ten men straight away, and we still didn't look comfortable until the last ten minutes.
Accrington overran us in the middle today, and we didn't look solid it all.
Westcarrs' defending makes Danny Whitaker look like Maldini, and it's hard to see what Togwell actually does - even the average teams are playing decent football against us because they know they can. Talbot, for all his endeavour, isn't providing us with goals, assists or even chances for that matter. The centre backs look shaky against whoever they play, and it's early days but O'Donnell doesn't inspire me with confidence.
Jack won us the game on his own tonight, but he can't every week. We need to change things around before our luck runs out.

O'donnell ad a game to forget big time no wonder he celebrated when the winner went in as for hird how can a highly rated championship defender forget the the basics of defending slow aint the word either, we will score goals but will also ship a load in !

Agreed with every point apart from I've not seen what O'Donnell's done wrong yet.
Jack won us the game as you quite rightly say, he even provided Richards with an unmissable ball for his first goal. You'd have shot him if he's have mucked that one up.
Basically we can't defend, can't get hold of the ball in the middle of the park and our strikers don't hold it up, well Jack does if we give it him to feet. Ricahrds has the control of a donkey. Oh, and our wide men don't provide anything! Other than that I think we'll do well

Once we lose a couple and the team spirit goes we are going to struggle.

We were lucky (very lucky) to win again tonight and on Saturday we were outplayed and out-lasted by a team who had to play with ten men for 80 mins!

Hard to see what Togwell does??
Not really, as long as you know the roles the players are given.
Do you expect all CM to be Pirlo-esque?

We were very poor tonight especially in the midle of the park but don't talk about luck running out, it's only just started. Prior to the last couple we haven't had any luck at all in the games before these two, I'd say if things even themselves out then we are still due some more.

I know what you mean, perhaps should have said hard to see what he 'adds'. Win the ball, retain possession, keep it simple - he seems to have been given a similar role to Allott but doesn't do it as well. Better work rate, but less comfortable on the ball, and composure and ball retention was something we desperately needed in the middle of the park tonight. Just my opinion of course.
And yes, not playing great and still winning is the sign of a good team. You make your own luck, and all that.

It was the right thing to take either Lester or Richards off and throw an extra midfielder to make it more difficult for them to knock the ball about willy nilly and to harder for them to run through our midfield like they'd been doing all night, in an attempt to see out the game and keep hold of the three points.

He brought a right sided player on who I think set up the winner, moaning for moanings sake.
Some tactical problems, we should have switched to a 5 man midfield much earlier, Stanley always had a man free to pass to, Atkinson looked very jaded to me but the midfield as a unit never coped.
O'donnell I'm not sure about, don't know if I've seen him make a save yet. And I felt he should have come for the cross for their second

I can see your point, and he's most definitely in the Allot mould, and looking at it that way then he 'adds' as such not a deal more. What does weigh in his favour though from what I've seen is a greater threat going forward, and the legs to sustain 90 minutes of football. I don't think either Togs or MA are where are problems lie, and positionally apart from the lack of a natural LM, and countless exposure of our R/LB time and again, I don't see too many major concerns. The unit as a whole concerns me, and the ethic and instructions that are being followed and issued.
That said, Tommy has earned more time.

We need to appoint a decent manager whilst were on a roll.
