naturally you are assuming also that all season ticket holders will turn up, plus VP member and Legends Lounges. They don't get counted if they don't turn, however they all show their seats booked on the online ticket website.

Unfortunately I am one season ticket holder who can't attend tomorrow so you can knock me off of the attendance stats.

I have been having this discussion on another thread, so it will be interesting to see which is closer to the actual attendance your estimate that the figure is based 73% of 7200 or mine which is of 6000. If it’s 6000 it will be around 4380 plus away fans and corporate seats, if it‘s 7200 it will be 5256 plus away fans only.

Which is right I wonder?

When tickets first go on sale for a game the site shows 61% so assuming we have 3500 season ticket holders I'd.know whose estimate I'd back

Unless of course we can guarantee a certain number of the cheap-skates will come again and pay full price.

I'd sooner have the 10000, it would save me £200 a year.

Intense brand loyalty=inelastic demand, making it more profitable for all clubs to go for higher prices rather than filling more seats at lower prices.
At average £6 I'd be in the stadium tomorrow among that 10,000 but at average £14 I probably won't be and have to pick and choose. But, as you say, if that's the model that brings the most revenue (and profit, since the costs are the same), it makes sense.
