Fair point westbars, but even an old cynic like me that this year would be different....

They have surprised me all season, maybe just maybe they will do again and gain promotion.

Genuine question

If Treadwell had been a Derbyshire player would we have got the decision from the ECB OR am I just paranoid

I think you're just being paranoid.

The issue needs sorting though.

Fiver in for two people for the game this week. Plus that ticket can be reused all four days.

Think it's on Sky too.

A five for two people. And you can use it all four days.

As well as being live on Sky Sports radio commentary can be heard on Radio Derby medium wave the internet and I think on Radio 5 live sports extra

Little old Derbyshire the centre of the cricketing world this week

Lets hope we can stick two fingers up to the ECB and gain a deserved promotion!

Ps lets see how strong the Essex team is against the puddings. The ECB have said they encourage centrally contracted players play for their

counties wherever possible. Will be interesting to see whether Cook and Bopara play

Doubt it unfortunately, and given Bopara's current batting form it would probably be to Yorkshire's advantage if England released him to play for Essex!

Friday booked off work. If it goes to the last day it should be interesting one way or another dependent on other scores.

Well we've won the toss but Madsen disagreed with my opinion... ;)

Derbyshire CCC ‏@derbyshireccc
News from the middle is that Wayne Madsen has won the toss and has elected to field first. Early wickets the order of the day please!

If Derbyshire are closing in on promotion on Friday, then I feel all Derbyshire fans should wear Mark Nicholas T-Shirts with Banners etc.....all because of this

WICKET! Whiteley has the dangerous Jimmy Adams pouched at 2nd slip for 20. That leaves Hampshire 60 for 4.

Just been watching on TV whilst home for lunch and we've let them off the hook a bit. Stuck with Wainwright post lunch when possibly should have gone with Groenwald.
