Just been reading his thoughts on the game on the Sounthend website and even he said the penatly was harsh and the sending off was even more so. Must say Southend have got my resepct after today, with a few of there players clapping towards the Kop after the game, and the players - I thought - played the game in a fantastic spirit, and their fans, although not the loudest, did play their part in a cracking atmosphere. I personally wish them all the best for the rest of the season and hope they batter Huddesfield Barnsley and Brentford to the Championship.

There was a Southend supporter in the gantry recording the game for his Club. He seemed a decent chap to talk to and like me, didn't think it was a penalty or a sending off. However, he did pass on his best wishes to us for the rest of the season and said it was the best game of football he had witnessed his team play in and gave full credit to us.
