The Rotherham Scenario

The current chairman/board have no money are currently building a new stand which all the supporters desperately wanted/needed.
To me it smacks of poor management at the top, but is it me or are the press really behind Rotherham. We had a chairman previously who came into a cash rich club and stole the money and we were the villains of the peice. I don't remember the press/media or anyone coming to the fans aid, such as no breakfast shows on radio sheffield solely for the benefit of highlighting the problems.
Smacks of hypocricy to me.

But no one stood up for us in the media apart from David Conn......
On cash we thought we had... Brown was the one who scammed them.
Bodged the Beckett deal so we paid less.
At least the Rotherham board SHOULD have known they were in trouble, and SHOULD have had the brains to do something about it. Such as sell some players in January.
If you're in Yorkshire Radio Sheffield will always back you, we're just the small fry that they report on when there's nothing else to.

Radio Sheff have probably been shamed into promoting the Millers' cause to a greater extent than they're bothered about by way of atonement for some idiot DJ rubbishing their plight earlier.
We were among the first to try to rescue a club ourselves, and had only the experience of Lincoln another one to draw on. One of the things that subsequent clubs have learned to do well is manipulate the media.

Which just makes me angry again when Radio DERBY totally ignores the DERBYSHIRE League One team.

What annoys me about it all is that BBC website includes us in the BBC Derby section, when we get NO coverage on BBC Derby to which I don't think you can even pick up the station in Chesterfield.
Yet the BBC refuse to put us on the South Yorkshire section, go figure.

Cant wait till Derby / Sheff Wednesday are in the same league as us, or the one below (still hopeful!!!) next season, and Rotherham are 2 below us, or 1....

there at least twice, possibly 3 times. However for the life of me I can't understand the media outcry to save them. They need £1million now to save them till the end of the season, then another million for next season.

From a Rotherham mate they actually owe 500k or so to IR the rest are debts through the season due to what he described has losses due to a rose tinted business plan.
The plan apparentlly went wrong thanks to Southend or there Chairman not honouring the JCR offer which is apparently now in the public domain and on the back page of this weeks Rotherham Advertiser
