May I suggest we drop Hall on Sat and bring Del back.

Exactly the same thing that me and a mate have said whilst walking back from the ground. Hally looks like he needs a rest and has really gone off the boil.

Hally needs to Donald Ducking and has done for some time even when he was scoring, much to the amazement of some on this Board when I first mentioned it.

Interesting. I'm a big believer in having a team of grafters especially when a team needs results. Hall doesn't do it for me, he's near on static when we're attacking and NEVER tracks back. I thought Jamie O'Hara was MOTM tonight but was very disappointed to see him operating mostly in a defensive midfield position.

Time to put Allott at right midfield in place of Hall, just as an experiment, with Niven, O'Hara and Hurst the other three. Bit adventurous, though, dropping the leading scorer when we're short of goals.

He had to because Niven wasn't there; and there is NO way we should play without Allott because he holds the team together in almost every match.

Soph

Fully agree and understand why he played there, it was begging out for Del to come on and Hall to go off allowing O'Hara to go into a more attacking midfield role.

Why make Allott a scapegoat as usual when Hall is clearly not performing as well as him?

Excellent and very fair point.
Always difficult to drop your leading scorer, but if last night leaving Niven out was an experiment, and fair do`s for trying it, then maybe Saturday drop Hall and switch Allot.

I've a feeling he may go with Hall and Larkin up front.

I honestly didnt think we missed him. Certainly we created loads of chances and bossed the game for a large majority of it. Niven is a good player but O'Hara and Allot are better. I think that he will play Hall up front and this will create space for Niven to come back in.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

TF,

We BADLY missed him. They were allowed far too much time on the ball, and surely O'Hara's ability is best used in an attacking midfield role instead of a defensive one.

Well McFarland plays Niven as the attacking midfielder so what difference would it make? Bearing in mind we were much better as an attacking force with 4 in the middle and that Niven's passing and touch is woeful at times, who would you drop to fit him in?

Hall. He's a luxury we can't afford at the minute.
