So here goes.....
I think the starting line up by Mcfarland was spot on and would have ben the one I would have chosen, so no complaints there. For 60 minutes despite Donny having a few cood chances, which was to be expected with our junior back 4, I thought we were by far the better team and some of the football was just like the performances that got us so high in the first place. We were basically a combination of unlucky and lacking that bit of decisive cutting edge.
I honestly feel that if Chief and Hurst had the capability to stay on we would have finally got domething from the game, sadly the substitutions made us worse rather than better. Smith and Folan need to have a good look at themselves and really wonder if they have carers as professional football players.
Heath for me has to start against Southend as we cant continue with a striker who is in abject form.
The play offs, despite what Peak FM might tell you, look miles away at the minute. This may not be such a bad thing as pressure and expectation will die down now and hopefully with the pressure ceded a little this might help us build up a head of steam.
To summise their will be no complaints from me if the players and manager put a team out that plays good attacking football and loses. I will however be the first one on here if they go out with the intention of not winning from the off (4 5 1 *shudder*).
Good effort lads, more of the same please.
