Roche-6 - would be a 7 or an 8 but cos t us the goal with the flap. another penalty save and a good save shortly after there goal
Picken-8 - another good game. seems reluctant to push forward sometimes but due to hall being too narrow
Downes-7solidish game struggled with Fortune west but who wouldnt
Kovacs-7- pretty solid not helped by ref giving them free kicks when he was being fouled whilst trying to hold his ground
O'hare-3- poor tonight. distribution was terrible. dived in too often and was skinned way too often. good in air but not good enogh tonight
Hall-5 poor again tonight. way too narrow, gave Ohara nothing to pass to, made us way to narrow, first touch let him down tonight, quite unusual
Allot- 4- did he play? poor for me tonight, was given nivens job but he aint that type of player. poor game from a usually solid player
Ohara- 7 showed usual class but was let down by us playing way to narrow, ran his heart out, shattered at the end.
Hurst 3- on the ball he was quite good. off it he was lazy, lacked commitment, shammed headers and tryed to play for free kicks instead. sulked when we went behind as per last week. rightly substituted.
Chief - 7 Usual steady self. did a job, we looked poor when he went off
Larkin -8 - my man of the match, why cant he score? just wot go in for him, ran his heart out for the cause, really worried their defence. looked sharpe

Folan - 6 + 1/2 looked bright in spells but just looks half asleep the rest of the time. best game he's had for a while but still not quite good enough
Smith7- showed some passion and fight when he came on, really didnt have much to do, didnt do anything wrong

Why we lost. No niven. took the engien room away. perhaps we can see why ive been saying we cant drop him. we had Ohara running and doing the chasing, allott seemed to vanish at times. Hall was too narrow which ment no real outlet for Ohara. We had a really un-expreienced back line. Ohare had a mare. ive been really disapointed with hurst last 2 games for his head going down and not playing for the team. cant believe the decision to take him off was booed by a few. we just lack creative spark and i think its due to us not playing wide enough.

Had to laugh at Kovac's booming deep hungarian voice shouting 'downesy downsey'

think either of the 2 centerbacks would have been good with blathers at the side of them. Fortune west was always gonna be hard for them to deal with.

not too down but think the play off dreams are over. n e way were waiting till next year until wemblys built! lol

Kovacs:- " HE PUSHED ME!!" when he gave away his first foul against LFW. Made me smile...Arni eat your heart out!

Roche - 6 - Mainly at fault for goal
Picken - 7 - Reasonably solid
Downes - 7 - Not a great deal wrong
Kovacs - 4 - Uses arms on defenders too much, he's allover them, invites fouls in dangerous areas.
O'Hoof - 4 - Poor
Hall - 5 - Quiet, but still a danger in front of goal
Allott - 6 - Can't remember mistakes, can't remember catching the eye
O'Hara - 7 - Pretty good
Hurst - 6 - Decent with ball, lazy without it
Larkin - 7 - Runs his bottom off, good team player, crap in front of goal though
Allison - 6 - Usual self, missed him when he went off
Bambi - 6 - Nice touch here and there, still gets bussled off of headers he should challenge more for

Don't know how people can say that. Maybe if they look at things without a bias :(. He's a little bit clumsy as well. Sooner Reubs and Blathers get back, the better

Look at Terry or Ferdinand holding is part of thier game only they are a bit more cute about it.
Kovacs is also very quick at getting back into position when running back from an attacking possition, he beats Blathers hands down in the recovery.

Mainly at fault for the goal - it WAS his fault.

He missed it, no one else. End of.

Really narked me last night, straight after it went in, some idiot stood near me said Downes/Kovacs aren't good enough...

I admit they are both raw talent, but they both look good players. They need a bit of nurturing and mainly games to develop into really good players.

87:

Your joking mate O'Hara was all over the park its a pity Niven wasn't alongside him. Picks and Larks also were contenders for the motm. Hursty had a poor first half but came back strong in the 2nd and was unlucky to get subbed.

agree with you david in all but hurst being unlucky to e subbed as per my statements above

''on the ball he was quite good. off it he was lazy, lacked commitment, shammed headers and tryed to play for free kicks instead. sulked when we went behind as per last week. rightly substituted.''

he did perk up second half but only for about 10 minutes and then he went quiet again and stood on the halfway line not tracking back

I thought Hursty had a stinker last Friday and in the first last night. We had the same concerns as you regarding his laziness and reluctance to get stuck in,thats why I would have preferred Niven starting. However I think the break will have done Niven good.

10 out of 10

Lehmen from Arsenal was right when he said about Howard Webb being too friendly with Bolton and same thing happen with us last night

i find it hard 2 believe lehman can say that when he was let of for that blatent dive, the push etc all the way through the match.

the ref was average. missed a few things and was conned into giving them free kicks but wasnt that bad. 6 or 7 out ov 10 weve had worse
