He does! I'm not putting his address up though. And he has never lived in Cutthorpe BTW. Used to be Somersall Park Road, then moved to Walton Back Lane.

It must have been the first one of those when I played cricket for Baslow juniors with his lad. Remember him giving me and my brother a lift.

Met his lad through a mate of mine who played rugby with him. Was up watching once and Geoff was there as well. Went in the bar at half time to see a report fried the windies that Hoggard had took a hat trick on they to us skittlng them for not a lot. Geoff proceeded to do a little jig round the bar!!

Certainly does.

Always knocks Chesterfield on Twitter, haven't got time for him.

Geoff Miller however always speaks fondly of Chesterfield.

Anyone else heard his story of shopping in Morrisons with Ian Botham for some beer?

Moss & Millers...proper sport shop and how Chesterfield desperately needs something similar now. Used to get all my football boots and things from there. Even had a weeks work experience there...was gutted when it shut.

These days its practically impossible to buy a pair of decent black leather football boots. Choice just appears to be different takes on lurid coloured plastic "lightweight" boots which are no good for kicking young kids about in the Sunday League!!

Was once told he could catch the next hulleys bus back home when dismissed in the Queens Park in a one day match. He did his usual trick

of batting but not fielding in the Derbyshire innings

With Kent taking a larraping against Essex - next week's county game v the tykes is now looking very enticing.

Massive game starting today for Derbyshire at Headingley v Yorkshire. Positive result in this one and we will be in a very strong position.

PS..does this thread need to be moved to that new "Other Sport" section?

Hopefully the weather will play its part in proceedings - we coudl do taking some batting points although happily take a draw, even though I think Yorks may need to push for the result.

On another matter, Contador is a short price to pick up the Vuelta starting on Saturday. I really hope Froome can beat him.

Just been looking at our remaining games. We have this one then have to play Hampshire at home and Kent away who are 2nd and 4th along with Northants away and Essex at home who are lower mid table. Some bonus points and rain will do us fine! ;)

Heard Moxon on Radio Sheff last night previewing todays game...the long and short of it was he said we'd been lucky with the weather to get results in along with having an advantage by having floodlights that had let us finish some games that others wouldnt have....******!!

There are advantages to not living in the area - not having to listen to myopic tykes is a massive one.

I do listen to BBC Radio Northants - they have lost Vaas for the rest of the season which is a blow for them and I fancy our chances down here.

Blimey that was one mega downpour in Leeds this afternoon. Rain forecast Fri and Sat as well.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

Draw no bad thing. Especially with us looking light on batting.

I don't listen to them. They're easily avoided. You not seen Vaas' stats this season? I thought they'd decided not to select him again?

Of course I should have known that Yorkshire were "allowed" to play 12 players, still the ECB don't like it when one of their "star" counties are in Div 2. Took them long enough to get Surrey out though.
