Glad to hear it. A few foreigners in town too presumably. Not there unfortunately, was there Wednesday and with playing yesterday it was always an afternoon out too far.

Looks about a par score but think we've gone in a batsman light again. If you're going to get eight overs out of The Durst it's not necessary either. Presumably they want to give young Hughes ago but I'd have picked big Hughes.

2 of the worst overs from Clare I have seen in county cricket

He's capable of some real 'hit-me' bowling at times.

8 full tosses in 12 balls, batsmen are playing a blinder here to, good really I didn't fancy a late trip home.

Are you the Shaun reporting police intervention at Queen's Park on Twitter?

What a surprise only mention of the result from yesterday on Radio Deedah this morning. We get a full report when the puddings win.

Big game for Derbyshire today. Win v Kent puts us well in the hunt at the top. Good decision to sign the keeper on loan from Warwickshire til the end of the season.

Decent day for Derbyshire so far....providing we bat well.

As for the test....didnt think it was possible but i now think Graeme Smith is even more of a massive ****!! His antics towards Finn catching the stumps this morning was shameful.

Excellent from Derbyshire's bowlers again. Just in from work, what was Smith doing?

Basically as soon as Finn came on and caught the stumps he was in the umpires ear about it. First three went by with nothing happening then the fourth one which he egded to slip was called a dead ball and from then on each time it happened. Apparently done under the law which says its a dead ball if anything disturbs the batsman. Now thats all well and good but he's been doing it for ages, about since he stopped falling over all the time, and no one has been bothered about it before and i doubt the umpires would have in this test had Smith not been on at them from the moment Finn came into the attack.

219 more runs needed with a day and a half to play...........Just depends on Shreck getting you all out again!!!! Meanwhile in Cobbler country on day 4 it's damp! So Yorks are going to draw again I'm sure they drag the rain around with them!
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Tremendous day for us. Showing serious balls. Win this and it'll be one of our best wins in years.

Not half - table doesn't lie and shows how I,portent it is to get points on the board before the end of May.

Chuffed that Dan is having a great season - we just need to convert some points from our game in hand over the people's republic.

Dan Redfern is actually very good. If he played for Surrey would probably be batting 6 for England.

I don't disagree and think he may do someday. He didn't appear to convert much last season - plenty of 20s but rarely went on. I would hope he stands a call up one day - after all isn't Geoff Miller still up Cutthorpe?
