Shame but at least the sport on offer the next few days is decent with the Test, Golf, Tour..
Yep. Home for my lunch from work and it's going to be hard to drag myself back as I currently flick between those three.

An early wicket to expose Bopara was always likely to make it happen. Personally i wouldnt have Bopara anywhere near the test side...had nearly as many chances as Ramprakash and done about as well!! At times it appears we pick him cos he bowls a bit which is the wrong way to go about it.

I was genuinely just about to post some drivel to the effect that Bopara never has been a test player other than in his, Ronnie Irani and Graham Gooch's mind.
Surely they should pick one of the other England Lions with a view to the future?

Got to agree Bopara doesn't really seem to have done much despite having many chances.

I sometimes wonder if he gets picked because he bowls a bit as well....although that is garbage as well in terms of test standard!!

Glad to hear it. A few foreigners in town too presumably. Not there unfortunately, was there Wednesday and with playing yesterday it was always an afternoon out too far.
Looks about a par score but think we've gone in a batsman light again. If you're going to get eight overs out of The Durst it's not necessary either. Presumably they want to give young Hughes ago but I'd have picked big Hughes.
