I stuck to lager. Had a proper beer before in a pub in West Bridgeford before.

where did you head before hand? We always head up there when we go now after previously going down by the canal.

We went into the Monkey Tree I think it was. One or two decent beers and the snap looked good though we didn't stay for any. I'm sure there are more pubs around there but this place is on the main drag next to where the two main roads cross.

Know it well. If you like your real ale the better bet is just before that as you walk away from the ground, just down a side street by the co-op shop and called the Stratford Haven. Normally has about 10-12 real ales on.

Real ale is what it's all about but doubt we'll be back in Nottingham any time soon.

A couple of these England ladies cricketers are rather alluring. Happily make some room and show them all three stumps.

Is Jenny Gunn, daughter of our very own Bryn, still getting a game with England ladies??

Her Wikipedia page seems a little dated.
Mug?? Being wrong never gets boring!

Cheers. I thought she was still playing. Her wiki page has her last appearance down as years ago.

Saw some highlights earlier of their T20 win yesterday over India....no wonder she's been checked for a dodgy bowling action twice in her career....just looks well iffy!!

It was virtually unwatchable. Better watching on most local grounds each weekend.

I'm not that sure it will. The Derbyshire side is far more suited to proper cricket rather than the biff it t20 format. That and naved has been pants!!

I think Sussex followers could have told you that!!!! And he didn't pull up any trees whilst he was at Leeds neither!
And I also reckon you're going to miss Guptill now he's gone back to the Ferns (cos after seeing Khawaja playing for the Aussies I don't rate him!)

Khawaja will average more than Guptill did even if he doesn't score them as quickly.

Agree....its a shame Guptill didnt hang around to play the T20 before leaving but in terms of the CC it suits Khawaja and the way he plays. Also whilst Khawaja didnt look that great for the Aussies there is a massive gap in standard between test bowlers and some of the rammel in CC2!!

I know they've had a few injuries and alike but how bad are the aussies currently. If Steve Smith is the best they have to offer at 5 then they are in a world of trouble!!

And as for Bill Lawry reckoning their attack is the best in the world.....
