Don't know what he's like as i've never seen him,but Roy must like what he's seen, and we are not going to get a proven top class, over rated, over paid premiership player are we

I have complete faith in Roy Macs signing. If Roy thinks Colin Heath is da man, then so be it!

All this focusing on one player to make the difference is missing the entire reason we are in the top half of the table, TEAMWORK, we've done well because our squad has played well together as a team, not as primadonnas who are only out to bag goals or glory for themselves.
If you want a forward, you want someone to come in a work hard for his teammates and then to bag some goals. proven or not.

Whether he will be or not I hope that people will give the lad a chance and don't expect him to perform miracles after one or two games. Roy must have seen something in the lad that he likes else he wouldn't still be here training day in day out. Give him a chance Mr Cooper.

one goal in 12 or 14 games for Swindon at this level is hardly inspiring but they were very crap at that point of the season.

Maybe we should have signed Holt or Tyson when Forest were in for them? Don't you get it yet? The cheap option is the only option that we have at the moment.
Is a few years (even 10 or 15!) of skrimping and saving out of 140 years (so far) of club history not acceptable if it means that the club gets the chance to contine on for as long again? We don't have anyone willing to chuck money at the club to buy a proven 20 goal a season man so we have to hope that the investment that we've put in to a quality manager pays off for the time being.
Maybe you'd like to go and watch Forest's brand of ambtion. What is it so far this season? About a million quid and counting and still behind clubs like us and Col Utd. Clearly a fool proof plan.
Get a grip and get used to the fact that we live within our means.

And why do we have to settle for the cheap option, this lot on the board.

Then show them up for the cheapskates they are. Sell your house and put the money into buying your proven striker. It's only a bit of a gamble, isnt it? You'll get your money back when we get promoted. I can't think what's holding you back.
