Thompson at right back? Doesn't strike me as being somewhere he can play with comfort. Hope to be wrong.
He didn't look comfortable either - I thought Trotman could play right back so to me this was a better option.

Smith and Morgan have travelled according to commentary, just not in the squad.
Both were warming up before kick off when all the rest of the players had gone in.

There's a cat on the pitch according to commentary :S Not sure what's going on there!
Obviously a copy cat given what happened at Anfield last week.

I guessed about 200, expected a better following, but I suppose given it was Valentines day, and people will this week be forking out for Wembley tickets, and bowels tickets something will have to give for many, not much of an atmosphere tonight, both sets of fans were quiet for most of the game.

Big crowd at Bury, 2,266 altogether. Good to see them out in numbers to support their side despite Manchester United/City being on TV. Oh, hang on....
There looked like about 1000 Bury fans too, loads and loads of empty seats, was like an early JPT attendance.
Looked like it could be a goalless game, then we scored

Bury didn't look much of a danger, until late in the game when they got forward more and more and eventually the inevitable happened. Shame we didn't score when the keeper was off his line and the defender headed the ball off the line - don't think a shot from distance was really necessary given the time Lester had, but for me our possession really needs to improve, we give the ball away way too often to get out of the relegation zone and invite the opposition to create chances. Lowry was frustrating tonight with his poor set pieces, expected better given what I saw of him from the highlights of Crewe's games on tv.
One other thing, blue numbers on green shirts really annoys me, by now surely people who design kits should be aware that they can't be seen from distance, white would be miles better, we have a fair few players that look similar, it doesn't help when your a million miles away from the pitch due to not one but two gangways between the seats and the pitch.
Oh, and one final thing, don't think anyone has mentioned that just before the second half started the scoreboard read Bury 0 Chesterfield 10, if only, we might be able to keep a lead then.
