This is something the club has always struggled with, for fairly obvious reasons of staff vs demand.

All they needed is some agreed and obvious process set up for people who can't get to the club for reasons of distance or working hours.
In saltergate times, a simple postal option. Send in a cheque and ticket request aong with season / loyalty card details and they can sort you out before or at the end of the days rush.
Now, they should be able to put up the different value tickets on the online shop just as easily as adding different sized t-shirts. Only allow season ticket holders / LC / public to purchase on certain days and make an extra bonus on postage charges. Win and Win.

But no, that would be too simple. Chinese whispers and mixed messages are far easier.

This is why I've gone and sorted mine through a (spireite) friend's work who have access to club seats, any extra i have to pay for club seats will be offset by not spending 60 on petrol and having to take a day off work to make a 200 mile round trip.

Isn't it accepted that they will deal with postal requests even if they aren't publicising it?

I have no idea.
and that's the problem.
Unless you ask the right person in the right way at the right time, you never know what answer you might get.
I've often been very lucky finding somebody who will actually listen to my situation and find a way around. However, i've also been told plenty of times that they can't do anything to help. fullstop. Even though later you meet people to whom the club have helped out in exactly the same way as you asked but got refused.

The club has a fair number of fans where getting to the club 9-5 on certain days just isn't going to be possible. It's now big enough where it needs to have a proper process for these customers rather than just winging it as we could when it was just a couple of people in the office.

With online sales from next week and several home games before the actual day what are you concerned about?

Personally, Nothing, I've got mine sorted via other means just to avoid the ensuing capers.

But, what grinds my gears is that the odd big game isn't a complete one off.
I've lived away from town for nearly as long as I have lived in it and it would be nice that if in the last 18 years they might have worked out a way for people to get a ticket with out taking time off work or travel half way across the country just to queue round the block!
Would they expect the ST holder from New Zealand to fly in to queue?

I really thought they had "cracked it" © with the loyalty cards and online purchasing this year.
But if something really big comes along we revert to type. A type which seems to be still stuck in the 80s.

You're right about systems & procedures, but equally the ticket office at the B2NET is missing a Sue Green, the leave it with me, I'll sort it for you approach & a friendly one at that, a customer champion. The commercial department has one in Janice, the ticket office needs one.

Works for me Keith. Opens up a document that shows the stadium and the sections allocated to each club.

I'm sure someone clever can copy it onto here.

Maybe I'm missing something here? All I have seen for our match is a plan which shows ALL
seats allocated to us in "Blue" in both first and second levels of the stadium and level 5 in "Black" with a note which states that certain areas will be opened if the demand arises.

Nowhere have I seen a plan, similar to the one posted on here for last years match; which shows allocated seats by PRICE. I did email the club and was advised this info "will be available when you purchase your ticket" as in,
"4 seats @ £36 please".................. ,
"There you go £144 please, you can see from the tickets where you're going to be sitting, Thanks, next please"

KEEP THE FAITH

Yes. To be honest, that is what I meant when i said i had often been lucky ringing up the club. I meant I had got to talk to Sue.
However, even now, with more people in the ticket office, inconsistencies are going to be more likely, If there isn't going to be one rule for all, people are going to get hacked off and i'm not talking about the different days to order tickets, that has at least been publicised.
I can think of a few simple examples that get under my skin but they are not wembley related so i'll let it lie.

I did email the club and was advised this info "will be available when you purchase your ticket" as in,
"4 seats @ 36 please".................. ,
"There you go 144 please, you can see from the tickets where you're going to be sitting, Thanks, next please"

KEEP THE FAITH

Ha ha ha, A bit similar to "Im thinking of X amount of 36.00 tickets, can you please tell me where in the ground where abouts the 36 tickets are for".

"Yes, there in the 36 section".

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
"one day, we shall return" (edit - and so we did).
