Not sure on how many have been sold. We have 500 FM's
As a founder member I thought the number of members was 250, the plaque in reception has that sort of number of names on it.
I ordered and paid for my Wembley tickets last thursday, for collection when they arrive by Tuesday, tomorrow.
I assume founder members, advertisers, sponsors, have all been approached to maximise the interest in the event
I understand no one has tickets, as wembley control the production and distribution to the club, so supporters may have ordered tickets but no one has them physically.
I was told that other than the price, the location of the seats will be as the tickets come out of the box, the tickets will start from behind the goal and work towards the halfway line.
In the scheme of things it does not matter who gets tickets first or last, we can have more than our 20,000 tickets if we need them.
It is chesterfield after all, the new ground is great, but we are not used to big games, remember the Cup run in 97, our lack of experience cost the club thousands of pounds,
many small operators made money on shirts, transport etc, which a more experienced club could have cashed in on, but we are learning, albeit slowly.
The club left many people very frustrated in 97 with the ticket arrangement then, we will get it wrong this time, organisation for big games is gained over many seasons, but the club does have
intentions to improve, it just takes time, its evolving and I am sure we will succeed given time and experience gained over several successful seasons and of course our support,
lets all enjoy the wembley moment.
As a supporter of the club I hope they make as much money out of this trip as possible, please bring along as many of our friends who never come to football matches,
sell them the visit to Wembley,I am bringing five friends who have not been since 97, the tickets are available, it can only allow the club to afford better players for the future.
If we sell 10,000 tickets at an average of £30,that is £300K less say 20% for wembley, that makes £240K for every 10,000 tickets sold, the more the merrier.
The club could net 4/500K, fantastic.
